Ok I have a few things up for sale.

First: I have an fde Steiner m5xi 5-25 with a Tremor 3 reticle. I bought this new from Eurooptic as a blem (color was darker than Steiner wanted) about 4 years ago. It mainly sat in the safe until early last year where it has been on my match gun since. I have shot 7 local matches with it. It has some scrapes in the coating but nothing deep. Glass is perfect. Comes with the AADMount scope caps and throw lever.

Edit: I have pulled the M7xi from the post. I went to take pictures today for someone and noticed it had some kind of blem inside the optic. This was not there when I put the scope away in my safe. I cannot sell something that way so it is going to Steiner for repair/replacement. I will repost it once I have it back.

So I have an excellent condition Sig M18 9mm. Has a Romeo pro one red dot which is also in excellent condition with clean glass.

Currently outfitted with an Sig factory 3.9” threaded barrel and a Herrington arms compensator HC320XL installed. OG barrel included.

Comes with an excellent condition Streamlight TLR1s WML and two holsters.

Both nice kydex options for carry. A C&G OWB and a Hellhound Arms IWB. Both are made to fit gun with WML and compensator.

So I only have two mags one 17 round and one 21 rounder so know your laws.

Not exactly sure how many rounds have been shot through it. I bought it used off GunBroker recently. It’s lightly used for sure, I would say definitely under 500 with the original barrel. And with the threaded barrel and comp, I’ve only put another 100 at most. Both were bought new.

Hey folks,

So I'm trying to figure out how to best clean the muzzle device on my bolt action rifle. I'm running a q cherry bomb (actually the new version which has the wrench flats on it, but same difference) on it which I fixed to the barrel with rockset. I'm trying to figure out how to best clean it as when I'm cleaning the barrel (obviously with the cherry bomb still attached), I can see that there is plenty of carbon which turns into a black paste as I'm shoving patches through. I have two concerns. The first is when I put my rifle away, I don't like that idea that the cherry bomb has cleaning solvent and lots of carbon that may drip down the barrel as I store it. The second is that, because I run a can, I don't want to have a muzzle device that isn't fixed to the barrel, hence the rockset.

My current method is to roll up some paper towel and simply try to dry the inside of the muzzle device when I'm done with my rifle cleaning. I don't think that does a very good job of cleaning the cherry bomb, but it does seem to mop up enough liquid that nothing dribbles down the barrel when I return it to the safe.

I was thinking of maybe using a plastic cup filled with rubbing alcohol to dip the muzzle device into to get rid of all the extraneous cleaning gunk and liquid, but I don't think that would actually clean the device.

I haven't found any threads comparing these 2 yet. Wonder if there just aren't many people who have had time behind the vision pro.

I'm in the market for a new chassis to replace my PRS-TCS. The distance from grip to trigger is just too big for my hands. I'd like to go with chassis over stock for added adjustability also. This will be used for PRS.

At first glance they look very similar. The buttstocks are different and I do like the adjustable bag rider on the vision. Price wise is very similar here in Canada. Vision is 10% more. Not sure its enough to make a difference, but MDT also has a wicked black friday sale that I could have some luck in this year making it a little cheaper. I like how the Vision is ambi, seeing as I'm a lefty, and if I decide to sell it for whatever reason I have a bigger market to sell to. I'll most likely be adding accessories to it as well, like a control bridge or weights.

Wondering what people think about the differences between the 2 and if one was a clear winner (for those who have handled both).

The Vector X bino/rangefinder has an app from Vectronix: VECSS. Oddly the Google Play store said it wasn't compatible with my Android phone or tablet, although it only requires Android version 9. I was able to download the app as an APK file and sideload it onto both devices. The device is remarkably capable and sophisticated, although as engineers are wont to do, the documentation does not begin to explain or explore these capabilities. The device has an internal compass and displays the target azimuth. Happily, in the Settings you can adjust for your magnetic declination (not mentioned in the PDF manual). The app makes it easier to set up and utilize rifle/ammo profiles but also has a mapping capability.

The mapping capability is remarkable, although I haven't quite figured out what I'll use this for! I paired the Vector X with a Lenovo tablet that I use for shooting apps (bigger screen and easier to read in the field without my #*&^$ reading glasses). You open the VECSS app, pair the Vector X with the device, and open Mapping. The app reads the rangefinding info, likely uses its internal GPS chip to find your location, then shows the location of your ranged target using the distance and compass azimuth.

Although my location should require 12.9 East, I had to fiddle with this a bit. There is a water storage tank for my neighborhood about 1200 yards distant. I set up the Vector X on a tripod and ranged this several times and found that using 7.3 East put me on the center of the tank. Maybe the magnetic pole is wandering, might be some metallic interference from the tripod, who knows? The Vector X displays a "chicken" in the display when it wants the internal compass recalibrated, and that seems to happen fairly often. Not important unless you need the azimuth for something like this.

The VECSS app works like most smartphone apps, so you can zoom in and out on the display and also rotate it to fit your shooting location and the target into a landscape display. You can do this with multiple different targets and it will mark each on the map display and show the ranging information in the table below. Being an old guy who grew up with paper maps, this is amazing technology.

99ct of Hornady 153gr Atips. They have been in the hornady bag in an ammo can for about 3 years. Maybe I can't count so there may be 100 in there. They have that factory oil residue on them still being in that bag. Need to wipe them off or however you want to clean them. I don't shoot these. $12 bucks covers shipping, otherwise I'm not charging for them.
