I just bought this mount and hope to use it, but its real close to the rail, not barrel. Since its mounted on a swan rail, the height feels perfect when I'm looking through it.

I plan to shoot it tomorrow to see if there any shifts in a few positions.

Just got back my ak 47 from riley ,it was ripping factory brass cases [2 out of 95] but not steel cases , i was just going to roll with steel only but it failed badly my no go gauge . I notified riley and they said send it they will fix it for free ,this is a nj ban state ak bought by me in 2021 two + years out of warranty and had 500ish rounds through it . What i got back was my old furniture on a brand new weapon .........NO CHARGE NOT EVEN SHIPPING . It passed my gauge test and will get range tested soon . Bottom line is buy the damn gauges and use them

I've just ordered a S&W 10mm fpc ,should be in to the FFL next week. Was going to put a red dot on it but after looking through my gun room I realized I have a vortex 1x8 lpvo strike eagle still in the box that I bought on sale over a year ago , think I'll mount that with some med rings and try that first ,anyone used a setup like this on a pistol caliber carbine and liked the results, I've watched YouTube videos of guys shooting this 10mm out to 200yds with red dots on steel so a lpvo is not that over the top , only thing I'm worried about is the scope is ffp so at 1x the inverted horseshoe type recital is kinda small ,but the illumination is very Bright, so should be OK in daylight.

I am searching for an AXMC 338 Bolt. I may consider buying the rifle or other parts to make the deal happen.
