As the title reads, has anyone done any reloads using pulled wc860? I know it’s 235 gr for m2 with a velocity of 2810 fps and 53k psi but I have some amax projectiles as well.

I have plenty of accurate match ammo for most my rifles. My 2 bolt grendels are the ones that shoot poorly with factory ammo so I want to start loading grendel ammo.
I am trying to make ammo that will be consistent, hopefully sub MOA. I don't necessarily need sub half MOA out of these rifles. They are hunting rifles and might occasionally plink with them just for fun.

Picked up a Kac ras ff long recently and trying to decide what to put it on. Recently I finished up a mk12 mod 0 and love how it shoots. So that brings me to a mod1 or a nsw recce. Also have a ocm5 in jail. What would yall recommend or is there something else I should be looking at to use it on?

So, I was cloning an M16A4 and was looking at mounting a weapon mounted white light.

Most folks go either left or right side mounted. Makes sense, with utilizing support hand

but what about bottom or 6 oclock mounted? Are there any disadvantages or advantages as compared to side mounting the light?

I’d post this on barfcom but I’m not gay. i figure this is kinda like rifle slung muzzle up or muzzle down kinda thing and more just preference. But….id like some thoughts on the topic.

Looking at a tract ELR to shoot 300 prc 1500+ but I can’t really afford the alpha tier scopes at well above 2k. The 160 moa on the 5x25 is appealing. Had my hand at some above 1k scopes which are very nice(Burris xtr III and Leupold mark 4HD.) Came across Tract hear get a lot for the money and very nice glass. I could maybe eventually step but to a nx8 4-32 but that would absolutely be about it. unless it’s clearly needed or worth it I’m liking what I hear about the tract.

Or a xtr pro if it’s clearly better too is an option. Around same money. What I’m getting at is if the tract elr is similar enough to these options I’m feeling it since I like variety.

This is an excellent scope. I am partial to S&Bs glass and this is one of 6 PMIIs that I own (or have owned) and it has tracked the best (see tall target test results that show the results as 0.9976 (which is the equal but opposite of 1.0024) - in other words - considering the margin of error - it tracks perfectly.

I have done my best to show imperfections in the photos. There are a few tiny pin-sized white marks on the "left" side (4 seconds with a sharpie could conceal these), a small bit of paint missing from the bottom of the turret housing, and then an abrasion on the illumination dial (and a little wear on the actual elevation turret). Please keep in mind that when I take these photos (with an iPhone 12), I am using a light tent that throws A LOT of light which means imperfections really show up, and I have taken some extreme close ups to show the imperfections.

FWIW, the scope spent all of its life in Nightforce Ultralight Rings, and was a "backup" scope for when I converted my PredatOBR to .260 Rem (when it was in its .308 configuration, I have a NF 1-8 on it, and the PredatOBR has spend 99.9999% of its time configured in .308.

Decided on a collapsible (carbine) stock for this new Aero 6.5 gas gun build and the bolt won't go all the way back to lock open; it's about a quarter inch short. The buffer springs bottoming out and I can not figure out why. I know the whole "there's no single spec for ar308s/ar10s" thing, but finding out what's compatible and what's not seems to be pretty challenging. I keep seeing that the buffer tubes and buffer springs are compatible, but buffers are not. So, then how does this carrier tail bottom out? The tube's Strike Industries, the buffer's an adjustable Expo Arms, and the springs a no name AR15.
So during my research, the only thing I found was that on Aero's website, their 308 carbine spring has a different part number than their AR15 carbine spring... but when shopping on all the ar parts websites, they all list (except for aero) all the same springs for the 308s and 556s...
Called Brownells and they list the OAL's for the springs in their notes, and the 308 springs thicker and longer lol. Would Im imagining would exacerbate my issue (if those measurements are correct) or does the 308 spring have so fewer coils that it maintains a shorter compressed OAL...

Has anyone built one from the ground up on an Aero set and run into this same problem?

Rifle is an AI AX primarily shooting .308 and 6.5 CM. Have even tossed around the idea of a 16” 300BO barrel strictly for subs just because. I think I’ve narrowed it down to the Ultra 9 and the Magnus.

I don’t own any magnums and currently have no plans to. I don’t shoot PRS so length isn’t a huge concern. This isn’t a hunting rig so weight isn’t really a consideration. I guess ultimately what I’m after is sound reduction. I know the Magnus meters better but is the decibel reduction over the Ultra 9 really that noticeable at the ear and worth the few hundred bucks extra? I don’t have a way to quantify how much say a 5db difference is.
