Not sure how to look anything up on this rifle being as the company is no longer around. Magazine seems to be custom made.....wanting to get another 1 or 2 magazines made for it, living in Nebraska with very few resources around makes it tough to find someone who can make one for less than 1k. Does anyone know of any mags that will work in these by chance or is my only option to have them made? Looking like the ladder from what I can tell.
This rifle was gifted to me from my neighbor who had it ordered years back, never shot it but kept it oiled and clean. We talked about our military experiences throughout the years and him being over 60 and in declining health, decided to give me the weapon to see it be taken care of and used. I'm still young and strong and experienced with weapons, have the land to shoot it and was looking for some info about these rifles. Marine Corp vet 2006-2012. MOS 0311. This is a bit different than my M4!

Objective cap lens cover is still on it, but the hinge has broken, so it does not flip up but the cap still attaches and holds in place.

Nothing wrong with it, tritium is strong, this is the red chevron, .223. No box or manual. Did the best I could to capture tritium in a completley dark room.

We're now offering a 4-day, open enrollment, Advanced Precision Rifle Course. We will cover a variety of topics from high-angle shooting to canyon wind reading and ELR. You'll get to work with our Hat Creek instructor team, 10-12 hours a day, in a physically demanding environment, and at one of the most purpose built training facilities in the world. We're only going to offer 1, possibly 2 courses a year for open enrollment, and we're looking forward to seeing some of you soon.

Been running the Voodoo-ML through various rifle setups as a thermal clip-on, but thought I'd play around with the built-in reticles to use in standalone mode. Obviously with the demag it's kind of difficult to use without any magnification, but a simple pop-up magnifier does the trick, making the rig work as a 5x thermal scope. Obviously it's best used as a clip-on, as it can handle up to about 15x magnification on a day optic, but that takes a quite a bit more real estate and increased weight. I'm surprised how well it works in this case.

I’m going to start attempting to dial in what ammo my rifle likes and I think I have a general idea of how I will go about it, but I have some questions and I thought I would run through my plan just to see if you have any input or suggestions.

Ultimately I want to work up hand loads but I want to start with factory just to give me an idea where to start. My plan is to get a selection of 5 or so assorted “match” and “precision hunting” loads and see what gives me the tightest groups. From there I will try to dial it in further with hand loading.

My plan is to fire two three shot groups of each, giving the barrel time to cool between groups, then when I think I have the best load I will zero it with a five shot group and then confirm the zero using a three shot zero. That will give me two extra three shot groups left in the box for spares.

My first question though is how long should I let the barrel cool between groups.

Second, should I clean between ammo types?

Any input on my plan?

This particular Mk13 Mod 5 was built by Red Bull Armory to the exact specifications used by Crane. The action is a Stiller Mk13 marked Garland TX. Barrel is Lilja Mod 5 profile cut for KAC MK11 Suppressor, 1:10 twist. Suppressor is a Titusville marked KAC MK11 suppressor, unfired, on a form 4 pending form 3 approval. Tangent Theta 3-15x50mm Model TT315LRH Long Range Hunter in MOA & MIL
The Long Range Hunter is a variable power telescopic rifle sight that can be rapidly adjusted for ballistic and environmental corrections by means of externally calibrated adjustment dials. The reticle is situated in the first focal plane, allowing reticle subtentions to remain constant over all magnification ranges.

I’ve been having some issues sighting in my Howa 1500 in 308. It was sighted in originally but I’ve been having issues since adding a suppressor.
I’ll go through some shorts steps to get to where I currently am.

1. Had howa 1500 threaded for muzzle device. No issues
2. Direct thread mystic x suppressor. No issues
3. Added dead air muzzle brake, needed adjustment of scope.
4. Added AAC 7.62SDN, scope adjustments were near max out ( all up, all right)
5. Noticed scope mount rail was loose during shooting, took off completely, retorque’d and blue loctite and removed paint from scope rail.
6. Resight in after scope rail removal, adjusted ammo to federal target 150gr previous ammo was “Fort Scott mutinons .308” unknown grain because I through away packaging, started with FSM but switched to Federal target because of groupings. Progression of sight in was 25yd, 50yd, 100yds Target size was infinity defense c zone target

Was able to make it on target at 25,50 yards, but once at 100 it was impossible to get it close without maxing out the scope to all the way up and all the way right (get scope model/specs later)

Any ideas of what could be my issue?

My thoughts,
Messed up the barrel adding muzzle brake, twisted the barrel
Suppressor issues, try different suppressors
Scope/scope rail issue
