3rd time fired for being drunk on duty - JUST got job back

And this guy knows how to deal with him .

But because of technicality he got his job back at arbitration after 3rd firing for drinking on duty . This is fucking unbelievable even by pig standards.

3rs firing for coming to crime scene drunk was just months ago . This same channel covered the incident.

Questions about using rings to mount on an AR

I wasn't able to find anything, so thought I'd ask.

I'm a big fan of the AR platform and have a few. On one of my rigs, I run a 1-8x NX8. This is a short scope, with a relatively short eye relief. For me, I do not require my mount to be cantilevered to put the scope where I need it to be, so I went with some American Rifle Company rings mounted directly to the upper receiver.

With scopes that I have mounted in one piece mounts, I just swap optics among my rigs as the need arises. Is this a smart thing to do with the rings set up? That is, just loosening the rings from the receiver with the scope still attached and moving the setup to another rifle without repeating the mounting process.

For that matter, since I'm asking, is it a smart thing to do with a one piece mount?

Accessories 1955 & 1956 Dated French Military Wine Containers

Cleanout for hopefully a move.

French Military Wine Container, 1955 & 1956 Vintage
1955 & 1956 dated vintage French Military Wine Container. The container is steel not aluminum, inside is lined with some type of coating. The can is stamped SM and VIN (wine) and a guess it is about 2-2.5 gallon capacity (THIS IS A GUESS ONLY, not measured). The can has some type of spout or aerator(??) not sure what it is but was inside the can on a thin cloth strap. The tube unscrews from the end and has small holes in the tube part. This is a great item for your Viet Nam collection. These came from the estate of a RAVEN. Yes there is some surface rusting but nothing that looks to be through the container.
$30 each + SHI. They weigh 7 pounds each w/o packing.

Solus bolt issues

I've been having a issue with my Aero Solus bolt dragging on my Magpul Pro700 chassis. The issue is that as I'm running my bolt the firing pin will rotate into the "fire" position protruding my firing pin and preventing a round to chamber. So far this has caused me a minimum of 4 stages between my last two matches. I am then forced to pull my bolt out on the clock and physically rotate my firing pin back into the proper position. I can never recreate the malfunction though and it only happens in the middle of a stage which is driving me nuts. Tried calling Aero but they only have the "chat with customer service" option which is another headache lol. Just seeing if anyone else is experiencing similar issues?

Faxon Barrel for a lightweight 6.5 creedmoor build or something else?

I'm looking to build a lightweight 6.5 Creedmoor in an 18 inch barrel maximum size for a lightweight thermal hunting rig. After doing some research, there's not a lot out there. Seems like only thing I can find in stock is a Faxon, Rainier arms ultramatch mod 2 or a carbon fiber BSF. Was actually even considering the Faxon in a 16 inch. Gun is going to be used as a thermal hunting gun so I'd say the maximum distance is 400 yards and even that is unlikely. Just seems like my options are very limited. The Faxon reviews seemed to be mixed, not a lot on the Rainier and not a big fan of the BSF carbon fiber. I purchased a 6 mm Creedmoor BSF barrel and it gave me nothing but problems. Not really trying to do it on a budget either. If Proof had an 18 inch, I wouldn't even consider buying something else.

Anyone have any suggestions or can offer up some advice? I'll be hand loading for it and looking for something that just shoots. Don't know much about some of the barrel builder out there but I really prefer not to wait 6 months to a year for a barrel. Would even consider something used if it's a proven shooter.
