This is basically new…. But I won’t claim it bc I did put an action into it for fitment purposes but never shot it or took it out of my house. I was going to make a run at NRL hunter series but work and young kids health got in the way so selling a lot of stuff… I’m just done with out of state comps.

There is one small mark in the finish of the folding mechanism (pictured) that occurred with it folding which is just weird…

It will come with the factory box all items included spacers screws etc just like from the factory.

Brand new these are $1599 plus tax

I’m looking for an optic to replace my Bushnell XRS3. The more time I spend behind it the more I think my eyes just don’t really agree with it, it’s hard to get the focus right and things just never appear really crisp. It also seems to suffer horribly with mirage. I’m currently looking at the Burris XTR pro (or XTR 3 as I understand they’re pretty comparable with some upgrades for comp specific use in the pro,) the zeiss S3 6-36 (I’ve heard it’s notably better than the 4.5-25?), and the atacr 5-25. I’d like to avoid the razor G3 because of the weight on this particular rifle. It’ll be going on a 308 that sees some positional shooting but not my main comp rifle. Most of my time is spent behind a ZCO 527 and an atacr 4-16. I also own an atacr 5-25 but it’s on my hunting rifle and doesn’t get shot as much. Things that matter to me (other than the obvious like accurate tracking etc):

- Generous eye box
- Mirage performance
- Finer reticles
- Forgiving parallax

I’m afraid my experience with the Bushnell might be skewed by the ZCO and atacr and it’s just not realistic to expect that performance in a less expensive scope, but I also know that manufacturers will at times save in certain areas to boost others, whereas the ZCO is the total package etc. for example, I don’t care too much about turret “feel”. I also understand I’ve posted scopes at pretty different price points but I’ve heard such good things about the XTR III that I couldn’t leave it out. But I don’t have any experience behind them either.

Budget is around $2k but like anyone I don’t like spending more than I have to. I know that sounds low for the atacr and the zeiss but I’m a big proponent of buying used optics and they come up in that price point semi regularly.

In a bit of a quandary, looking to pick up a compact 5.56 - 6MM Suppressor. I'm throughly impressed with the HuxWrx Ventum 762 but it's a little lackluster in 5.56 department. As mentioned above the two Im Looking at are the HW Flow 6K and the Lazarus 6.

Has anyone here done a side by side comparison?

The Lazarus is a bit heavier but has a wider variety of attachment options/Front Caps and is about $200 less than the 6k. Most of the other features seem to be a about even.

I spent some time with them yesterday at the local shop, they both look solid and honesty seems like a flip a coin situation but I was hoping for real life opinions. Thanks

Here is the new Hunter Diagnostic, just in time for the new season. Do you want to extend your capabilities or at least understand them before heading out to engage that animal. Distance gives us time and opportunity, but not everyone has the ability to successfully engage targets on command under stress at all distances. So we developed the Hunter Diagnostic to test your limits before you hit the field.

This guide is designed to help shooters determine the maximum effective distance at which they can reliably hit a target of a specific size. The Hunter 1 Box Diagnostic focuses on measuring the shooter’s fundamental consistency, wind reading and variability, stress, and accounts for some ballistic uncertainty as the cone of fire extends to further distances. The calculations presented here are not simple extrapolations from a group shot at 100 yards or based solely on the wind conditions on the day of the test. Instead, they provide a comprehensive approach to evaluating likely hit or miss scenarios under various conditions.

This Hunter diagnostic tool can be particularly useful in hunting situations, where ethical considerations are paramount. I have 2 RPRs. One is a .308 and the other is a .338. I was reading an article about proper scope mounting and it said scope height over bore should be between 1.5 and 2.5 inches. Another article said 1.5-1.8 inches. Both of my rifle scopes are over 2.5. The .308 is 2.66 inches and the .338 is 2.9 inches. I read that the lower the scope is mounted the more accurate the shots will be at long range. Do I need to get new rings?

I don't have any 308 ARs and I have been wanting one. But I cannot find a single rail that I like.

The build will be a Windham Weaponry AR 308 (DPMS high I believe) and I already have the lower and upper.

All I want is a nice traditional 15 inch Mlok or picatinny. It seems any I find are some that look like chain length or dumb angles.

Looking for some help / advice. Traditionally, have used (and still own) an RCBS case prep center for chamfer / deburr. More recently, I picked up a Henderson trimmer. After talking on the phone w Henderson, they made it clear the trimmer is NOT a chamfer / deburr machine but just happens to accomplish this while trimming (which is awesome). My problem is, after annealing and FL resizing (bumping the shoulder back .002 as well), my 1x fired Lapua brass is coming in UNDER spec… so, nothing to trim and therefore no Henderson C/DB? I included a picture of my CL reading after resizing and on the white board is the spec for my 260 case length… what should I do? Thanks in advance!

I have a Bull Barrel 10/12 I had built by the Special Ops. Shop in Madisonville Tn. back in 1998 and I have the suppressor end all apart now except for the first component diffuser that goes in as you put it back together. This is all stainless components and I have it all cleaned back to new appearing with CLR but the last couple of times I have failed to get the first diffuser out and and trying to be more determined. I soaked the stuck component with solvent and gun oil alternating to help my odds of success and ready to try again. There is nothing to hook for a pull as the taper is reversed. I am considering running a kinked over tip on a welding rod or two in from the muzzle thru the center and trying to get some drive out force with a barrel bore rod or option 2 is maybe striking the chamber end with a hard plastic hammer to get it moving ?? Does anyone have any added or better thoughts. The company shows as dissolved a few years ago on a search so it is just me or maybe us if I can find some help here. It was built for me back in 1998...

I used a dremel tool to shave off the bottom angle of the diving board to make it fit this scope profile. Comes with Vortex defender scope caps, sun shade, scope turret tool, and two extra IDTS scope tapes.

Trying to decide on which Sako TRG 42 to go with. We have the standard fixed stock, or the A1 chassis option. I know the the A1 has the fully adjustable buttstock, but other than that, and it’s toxic looks, is the TRG 42A1 worth the extra 2500.00??? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

So my plans are coming together, and I plan on SBR'ing my Howa Mini in .300BO/elf owl. Now, I'm looking at folder/mechanisms. I'm looking at the Samson S.A.S. , PMM Kate Moss , A3 7" offset , or the Jtac folder (which I don't think is available yet).

Now, I like the price of the Samson, but I'm not wild about the fact the hinge is aluminum (not sure if that's really an issue or not), and it looks like it could be long-ish.

The "Kate Moss" looks nice, and I like the fact that the Sig hinge is steel, but it's priced like it too.

The A3 looks nice as well. They use an Apex hinge mechanism, and I don't know much about them.

The Jtac looks cool and obviously would be a great fit on the elf-owl. It's expensive, but not bad when you consider it includes the hinge and is fully adjustable. It's just not available...

One thing I DON'T want is an AR buffer tube based folder.

Thoughts?

I have a Marlin 1894P 44mag JM stamped for sale. I bought this from the original owner who bought it new. I am the second owner. Talked with the fellow and he said he shot it less than a 100 times. Came to me the way you see it except I added a new pic rail bought from Skinner Products as I was eventually going to put a small scope or red dot on it but never got that far. It has sat in the safe and I have not shot it. You can purchase open sights from Skinner Products if you would want to use it with open sites. The rifle is mint and you would be hard pressed to find 1 in this shape. The loading gate looks like a round never went in it. Owner told me they made this model for 3 years. 16 inch barrel and factory ported on both sides at the end of the barrel as seen in pictures.
