I am in the US and have been invited to compete in Italy this fall. My understanding is that you need a gun permit to shoot there, but if I have an invite from a match director, they waive that requirement.

Has anyone have experience with traveling to Europe or Italy and competing?

Has anyone here had their hands on the Victrix Venus or Venus Pro 22lr?

There are very few reviews or even many posts about them, I’m guessing because they aren’t at all popular in the USA.
I’ve found a few videos on YouTube from X-Ring and Womfat who both seem to suggest it’s quite a nice rifle, but wish there was a little more info available.

I’m not is the USA so the cost of a Vudoo barrelled action is very expensive, based on Womfats video I’d almost be better off to buy a Venus Pro and if I don’t like the chassis drop it into a R700 chassis, as the price for the whole rifle is similar to a Vudoo barrelled action + a high end trigger.
The Venus Pro comes in a heavy contour 24” or 26” length which is what I’d want out of a Vudoo/RimX anyway.

I know I probably titled this thread poorly because it's less about a question and more about another way of looking at this controversial topic in the Christian community.

So it seems anytime capital punishment is brought up among Christians, there's always a group that with either bring up the "thou shall not kill" Commandment or say that only God gets to take a life and that the death penalty is playing God's role. However, the Commandment says "thou shall not murder" not kill. Us Christians are allowed to kill in defense of ourselves and/or others. So the way I see it is executing someone is not murder, but rather killing in defense because you are killing that person in order to defend society from a terrible person who has continued to harm to society and will continue to do so unless stopped permanently.

I get that this isn't exactly an elaborate thread and all, but I wanted to keep it simple and to the point.

Bought this for non-electric back up but could use some cash. Box notwithstanding, it looked to be in the best shape of any on ebay. Not disappointed. Loaded about 200 rounds. Very repeatable.

Is there a preferred reamer for precision 17HMRS?

My uncle brought me his Marlin 917VS and said it wouldn’t extract fired rounds. This is what the chamber looks like. I’m assuming it needs a chamber iron, but I’ve never used one and don’t own one. If that is what would work in this situation, will a 22 chamber iron work for his .17HMR, or are there any other suggestions?
