On this day in 2008, two young Americans intentionally sacrificed themselves to save 150 other Marines and Iraqi police in Ramadi, Iraq.

Please take 2 seconds of your day to remember Marine Cpl. Jonathan Yale and Lance Cpl. Jordan Haerter.

They both 100% committed to protecting their brothers and sisters.
This they accomplished successfully but at the ultimate cost to themselves.

They did this while wearing my county's flag and their bodies were sent home under that same flag.

I am indebted to both of them for their commitment to duty, honor and country.
