I'd take a factory Bergara HMR for $900 over any Tikka

Actually, my current semi--custom build is a M700P LTR .... It's quite involved... And where it has been for the past year or so has given up, before ever really getting started... I'm faced with finding a new builder.
I'd much rather spend less than $500 more and get into something worth a crap.

Ive handled 3 Bergara’s. I prefered my CTR over them, it seemed more smooth to me. Not that there was anything wrong with the Bergara. Just personal preference I guess.
Shoot more than 1,000 rounds and you'll see the Bergara Breaks in nicely. As smooth as any Tikka without proprietary Stocks and Total Retardation Magazination..............

I got rid or the stock, ctr bottom metal and CTR mag and went to AICS mags.
you’re opinion being the only one that matters is laughable. Right. Who gives a fuck if your rifle functions smoothly. I’d absolutely pay good money for an action that’s clunky and binds up as long as it’s got the brand I’d die for on the side.
