Exactly where my brain first went.
There is a joke in there somewhere...more mass = more penetration
more velocity = more penetration
more hardness = can penetrate harder armour
more length = helps penetrate deeper all else being equal
That’s what she saidThere is a joke in there somewhere...
Dammnint, are you trying to piss someone off with a statement like that308 green tip is actually what took down 7wtc.
935 Pennsylvania Avenue, NWCan we ping this dudes IP to see where he's at?
Bro, it's the most fed thing I've ever read. Clueless and obvious bait is well, obvious.@Krugermeier Man, I suggest you just leave the hide. IF you're not a fed, you're sure going to attract one for the questions you're asking. Please just fade away or commit forum suicide so we can see the banhammer get you, I would suggest insulting the two members mentioned below.
@lowlight @MarinePMI Can we ping this dudes IP to see where he's at?
I am doing some research on different bullet metals and their effectiveness against penetrating a variety of metal armors. I can't find any info on steel bullets on YouTube.
I am comparing .308 M855 'green tip' against steel bullets penetrating two things - ballistic shields and the steel used to construct the chassis of an MRAP. It seems that green tip is not made to penetrate, only keep the bullet from fragmenting. Can any engineers weigh in on the effectiveness of both bullets?
I was under the impression M855 was designed to 'penetrate', but it seems that it is useless against level 3 and 4 metals. Body armor and shield composition tends to be a mixture of ceramic and steel, but what about the construction of an MRAP?
There is virtually no information on steel-cast bullet ballistics online
You wanna just stop? This is your second strike; a third time and you're gone.I am doing some research on different bullet metals and their effectiveness against penetrating a variety of metal armors. I can't find any info on steel bullets on YouTube.

Can he have 4 strikes please? His next thread should be something along the lines of “need advice from chemical engineer” wanting information on how to make explosives that will penetrate ballistic glass as he can’t find any YouTube videos on it. I really want to see where he goes after that. You wanna just stop? This is your second strike; a third time and you're gone.
I'm not sure which is worse, your overt attempt to discuss going against US military vehicles, or the sheer stupidity of your "M855 .308" statement.
Just stop.
Smdh...
Actually, I'm expecting a "Anyone ever made a home built nuclear device? I'm just doing some testing..." post next. Can he have 4 strikes please? Him penetrating or being penetrated?Looking at the thread title it's probably a distinct lack of penetration in his life that's lead him to where he is now...
Yes.Him penetrating or being penetrated?
Oh, and on the bullet thing, I heard it somewhere you could make them out of ice and they would be untraceable.
Or he could go overseas and see for himselfGo get an engineering degree, then Apply to Aberdeen Proving Grounds as a test tech/engineer. If you get hired, wait for your TS/SCI clearance to be approved before you can work.
Then you can learn all about this science.
There is a reason you don't know and most people who think they do, don't. Those that do, will be tight lipped about it.
Yeah, you just have to get a bunch of smoke detectorsThere's this scientist by the name of Cooper that could possibly help him out.
Fucker is super smart. Like, the smartest fucker in the room, and he'll tell you so.
Last I heard, he was living in LA.
I don't recall his first name, but he's married to a Neuro Scientist named Amy.
Good luck.
