ACRO P-2 HK P30L compatibility

I tried to have my HK P30L cut for an ACRO P-2. The smith told me that I would need to relocate the rear sights to do so, which surprises me a little given that it is a full size pistol. Has anyone successfully had a P-2 cut in front of the rear sights or is relocation mandatory?

No but there are examples of their work around and the name comes up often enough in this regard.
