Maggie’s Henry Cavill calls it quits

It's a decent enough show to keep my interest since my interests don't include what half naked actor is playing the lead role. I just watch for the titties. My wife, on the other hand, expressed great concern about the change. Apparently Thor's brother isn't as good looking as superman.

Cavill is just a giant of a human. It'll be odd to change it up to someone more normal sized.

Titties are always welcome.

Sure, so they just released a new Witcher recently right. How long does Liam have to get to looking more like Thor, a year, longer? I imagine between some working out and some camera tricks, most straight guys wont even notice the difference. My memory isn't good enough but I don't remember Cavill being very big in the first superman he did.

I agree with all of the above, but simply suggest that The Witcher has always come at me from out of Left Field, and has never disappointed me. Liam Hemsworth is no lightweight, and I expect that the transition will be a fair bit smoother than we are all expecting.

I like Cavill a lot in The Witcher, but the theater is a place where actors come and go, and he's no exception to that rule. They place it before us, and I take it as it comes.

I spent the early part of this week auditing The Witcher; Blood Origins. It's getting a cold reception from some folks, but I disagree with the downplay.

Some of us have viewed the first two seasons deeply and repeatedly. Much that was glossed over in them is being fleshed out in Blood Origins. No; it's not a graven inscription with all the source and explanation. I never expected any such, it was all about grabbing what you could as it flashed by. I think that makes for a more interesting repeat viewing, and delivers kernels and layers of detail on second, third, whatever reviews. That's how I watch this stuff, and I think I like this one already.

But nothing is piled there on a plate for one to bury one's face into. I'd be surprised if many agreed with me, but not dismayed when they don't.

The world we are seeing is the 1200 year prior origin, and is, in fact, a followup of many centuries previous, and how the spheres from then merged into the world of The Witcher. As is said, the world one lives within is built upon the bones of those who went before. There are always some gaps leaving room for imagination; and if you want it all up front, maybe The Witcher really isn't for you.

I'm looking forward, and expect to be surprised. Pleasantly.

Greg

Liam wasn't Thor, his brother Chris was.
Apparently, they are both 6'3" while Cavill is 6'1".
They are all pretty jacked and I'm sure they all maintain a certain level, then, depending on role, may put on mass for a movie.

First time watching the first season, I went in blind. Never read the stories, never played the games, no idea about any of it except "Henry Cavill's character has white hair and kills monsters, apparently." That was IT. I liked it. Second time around, I had looked into more of the lore, learnt about stuff I hadn't known, and overall enjoyed it all the more. When the second season came out, ditto. First viewing was fun, second viewing I knew more about what was supposed to be going on, and by then I'd watched play-throughs of the games to see how that version of the world was presented.

I'm aware. My comment was that if Chris can look like that, his brother should be able to attain a similar physique given the similar body type to start with. Trust me, I know way too much about the characters in the marvel universe from all the movies my kids watched a billion times. The only one I can stand to watch anymore is Thor ragnorok from the style of humor brought in by Taika Waititi directing it.

The sad thing is they fucked over Cavil, then the DC fucked him over by telling him, first, that they still wanted him to do another Superman, then fired him publicly.
I think Liam be alright:
