In the early 70's I bought all I could with my paper route money for .50 a box all the time, shot 500 rds a month just plinking. My father used to give me two bits, walk across the highway and buy a box.

Cheap plinking ammo was actually kind of expensive if inflation is taken into account. I went with 1970, just to make it as drastic as possible. In the early 70's I bought all I could with my paper route money for .50 a box all the time, shot 500 rds a month just plinking.
Agree. Growing up on a farm 10 miles from town, population 29, there were chores...the folks would feed, clothe, and provide a roof over our heads. Dad would slip me a little cash to buy a brick of cheap ammo when I'd run low. His Winchester Super-X was off limits, unless it was an emergency. LOLPAPER ROUTE!
You in town guys sure had it easy.
Hopefully I don't need to fly again for a while....but if the cockpit crew dies in route, I'm sure my Microsoft Flight Sim time will extend the lives of everyone on board...all the way to the farther site of the crash.

I remember when a brick was $18. But I was making $3.35. So that took a days work after taxes and gas..89 cents!? Are you crazy, they used to be half that!

I must of typed it incorrectly in the search engine. I meant to say "Woman lying in her bare skin on a rug." I can't figure what I did wrong except I better wear my reading glasses next time I search for something. Here are the results.
An army buddy of mine got mugged on MLK Boulevard in Fayetteville N.C. We were at a bar a few blocks away and he didn't want to pay bar price for smokes. Decided to walk to a gas station on MLK. He was gone for a couple hours. Finally stumbled back right before closing without any shoes. They beat him senseless and took everything. Left him unconscious behind the store.
