I will mainly be shooting from the prone or off of a bench. Would I be better suited for a Harris 6-9 over the 9-13? Just looking for users advice. Thanks.

6-9. No doubt about it. You will find it plenty long even when getting on the ground and slopes (if you do).

6-9 is a given for the bench, and mine has never failed me prone on the ground yet. I have only shot at ranges, so field use could make the difference, but then again you can always adapt by using what is around you to make it work.

Try both if possible.... what will working for one person may not comfortable for you. I use the atlas which I
is 6-9 a little over 9 and shoot prone and bench without a problem

I've found that a Harris 6"-9" notched swivel bipod will work just fine for most of the situations that you could encounter from the bench to the field.

I have all Harris 6-9" BRM-S bipods with Pod Locs on my rifles and it's what I use in matches. That said I have one 9-13 LM-S that I only use at one match where I will be shooting uphill alot as it's more comfortable.
Get a stack of books or magazines and set your rifle on them and keep adding or taking off until it feels comfortable. Measure it and that's the height for you.

If you ever plan on running pod claws for prone shooting, you'll want the 6-9". The claws add a good 1.5" to their height. You can also get the rubber ski feet for bench use but, they still add the height.

I also use my rifle for hunting though, so I do a lot of shooting from weeds and brush where the extra height is often needed. Since you'll be shooting mostly from a bench, the 6-9 should be more than enough.

I like the 6-9", the 9-13" is too tall for me. But there is only one time I wish I had a slightly taller bipod and it was when i shot up a steep hill.

i looked at 9-13 and i don't see when i'd use that. it's too high for me when prone and it's way too low for me to use it when sitting.

9x13 works best for me, I find myself too low with the 6x9 but I am a bigger person.. So I would try to get behind both if you have the opportunity

I shoot mostly prone and use a Caldwell (cheaper) 6-9 Swivel. Usually one or two notches up. When shooting off a table here and there, no notches.

I sell 6-9 like 10:1 over the 9-13. For use on the range I almost always use the 6-9. I almost always find that the 6-9 is too short for use in the field where metal meets meat.

You're best to try them both, as you can see, the short one works better for some and others the taller one is best.
I have both and depending on the rifle I'm shooting I use the 6-9" versus the 9"-13" Harris both on the bench.
It depends on how it fits you.

on 9-13 for prone: i would say it depends alot on vegetation. in my area (alps, >1000m above sea) we have little bushes or gras. few use a bipod here and rather use a pullover or jacket, make a roll and use that a rest. you can hardly make a roll that high to reach 9-13'' so ... nope. in our area i wouldn't recommend such high bipods.
but as suggested already - maybe borrow both, go outside and have a look.

The 6-9 is my favorite length. If you don't plan to do anything where there is taller grass or uneven terrain, I think that will be perfect.

I use a 6 x 9 on my bolt guns and 9 x 13 on my AR's.
I would borrow a couple first for atleast a long day of shooting to see which one to buy.

I went with the 6-9 which seems perfect for me. Now I have to see how I like the non-swivel type Harris.

I like my Atlas BT69-NC
It ranges from 6 to 12.3 inches so it covers a big height range for bench shooting, prone, or situations where a little more height is helpful.
