Crappie are finally getting on the bank. Lake of the Ozarks. Pulled a limit of 11” to 13”
Those are nice fish. They’re a lot darker than the crappies we catch in Minnesota.
My folks have been catching some nice white crappie about 125 miles south of you on Norfork Lake in Arkansas, they get a bunch of them that size with an occasional 15" mixed in.
Thems the best eatin fish they is.....period!
One my mom got a couple days ago, she said it 15+". Dad actually managed to get a picture in focus with mom and the fish centered...pretty good for a 77 year old man.
I was in St Louis (Brentwood as I recall) and the TGIF World's Champion Bartender was working on a Friday night at closing. (not a TGIF fan but it was close to my hotel and my client's home) She put on a fifteen minute show and there was so much cash thrown that you couldn't see the bar top nor the floor. I guessed a few grand easy. I always travel on the redeye on Sat. AM vs. Fridays.
I later found out that my local Overland Park bartender was a runner up. I took a few dates there for his closing show and always got lucky afterwards, sometimes in the parking lot.

My comments was regarding different bodies of water produce different tints to fish color.
You ever heard of greenback walleyes?
Completely different than those that are coming out of the rust stained water in northern Minnesota.
I grew up catching walleye on the Missouri River in South Dakota. Obviously fish are going to take on the color of their surroundings, not like they are chameleon, just nature running its course of natural camouflage. Don't try talking shit, hit the breaks. Better to shut your mouth and be thought a fool than open it and remove all doubt.

Gotta love the gloves on grandma. I have known quite a few of these types around here. Self reliant, opinionated and not to be trifled with.
