Hellooooooo…Black Hills South Dakota

Beautiful area. We made the trek across from the other end of the state to visit each year before we moved back to the SE. Also should note it is one of the few areas of the country that didn't go full retard during covid. Nothing shut down, no masks to be seen, business as usual. Great governor.

The Black Hills are magical. Think about me when the humidty here is 189% in August and I'll think about you when we get some of those sunny 60* December days. It only gets cold here in about February when my calves start dropping....every single time.

Weren't you looking in MT before? If yes, you made a good choice. MT is obscenely overpriced an gets more and more californicated.

In spent about a week total in the Black Hills while moving to and from MT and really liked it. Congrats.
Yes we were.

Prices here really were not much better.

Imo. I overpaid and took a big step backwards in housing but have zero regrets so far.

Some things are worth far more than quality of housing.

Life in South Dakota is basically social distancing. No need to change.

The black hills towns can get somewhat crowded from tourism. Rapid city and Sioux Falls are growing as well. I know your comment was more tongue and cheek but it’s really just a state that prioritizes personal freedom. Everyone that lives there prefers that those who feel they needed social distancing, vaccinations, and masks, social distance themselves at an out-of-state distance.
