Bought a Nomad L last year.. decided I'll probably never shoot unsuppressed again.. going to order another nomad L, a Lahar L but i want something for my rimfires 1 or 2 cans... Was looking at the mask, oculus and tbac22, did a lot of reading and videos.. should i just get a 9mm or even 45 can that comes apart as I'd like one of those as well? Would be cool if I could use it on 223/ 300blk as well. Thanks in advance

I love my silencerco switchback. It’s ultra quiet and now they offer them in black. The TBack was hard to get so it must be awesome too. But my switchback you can flip the baffles around for a riffle and it’s ultra quiet with SV ammo. Real quiet. Subsonic ammo is crazy but if your hunting the SV like cci or the Norma tac is really good for price and availability it’s nice. I shoot it on a Summit, B14R, and 10/22 all are quiet.

I bought the Mask first and loved it. I then bought a TBAC 22 takedown and love it even more. Quieter on all my platforms, thinner, and lighter. I will probably buy an Otter Creek Titanium 22 next just to see how it compares to the TBAC.

You can't have too many cans. I'd buy a 22 can first. So quiet and so much fun. You can always buy a 9MM can or larger later down the road.

I'm with Derekdpt on the Norma Tac and CCI Standard ammo! Love both of those rounds for hunting and plinking. Those are the two I've stocked up on and run mostly through my 22 cans due to cost. Some of the sub ammo stuff is even quieter but I like the lower cost of the Norma and CCI.

I would look at the Otter Creek Labs Hydrogen-L for your .30 caliber cans, or maybe step up to the TBAC Magnus HUB.

For your rimfires, the TBAC 22TD will be nearly impossible to beat. I have a Mask HD and 2 of the TBAC 22TD cans. Like @ping, I got the Mask HD first, and loved it...Then got the TBAC 22TD, and it was better in every way for my use, and my groups actually shrank with the TBAC can compared to the Mask. So I bought a 2nd TBAC 22TD can.

And no, don't get a pistol can that strips down, get an actual rimfire can.

Also, I pretty much run only CCI Standard Velocity in all my rimfires. All of them like it, and all the semi-autos cycle it just fine, it's also very consistent, and subsonic.
