This shotgun will place 8 Pellets from Hornady TAP Blue Hull 00 Buck into less than 4" at 25 yards. However, its primary purpose is to breach deadbolts, door knobs and hinges and then be used as an entry shotgun afterwards....

Re: Underground Skunkworks CQB Breacher

It's always nice to have the little "attitude adjuster" on the end.

Pretty sweet design. My offer still stands for any assistance y'all need/want.

I use a shotgun every once in a while. Have breached a few doors with them and that shotgun would make a good one. Well done.

Highly valid question....Depends on the application, which is exactly why there's a choice of different chokes....I've actually hit "go" targets at 25 yards in the head, with a no shoot in front of it with the shotgun in the pics using a Full choke (problem is, repeatability will change with ammo age). Change the choke to change the level of precision and to increase vital organ trauma with more holes in the target. That said, I typically keep an Improved choke in my SBS to open things up a little and my wife has a Cylinder choke for her SBS.

Thanks Guys....I just did a few black ones with 4 position telecoping butts on them with 12" barrels....I don't think I'll ever carry an 18" shotgun again, seems like it's a mile long....

That's actually a Skunkworks Mag Tube Extension. Grizzly Custom is my sister company (we're in the same building) and I make them for Lew.

OK. So how much smoother will an 870 police magnum be if I send it to you to have the action smoothed out? Does the breaching device have to be removed to change chokes? How do your barrels do with slugs? This is almost exactly what I want:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/impulselabs/3897723438/in/photostream/

The only things I want to change are the stock to a Vltor Emod, Mesa Tactical shot tube extension, different BUIS based on an 870 police mag with your mag tube extension.

There's a significant difference in how smooth the gun will function after it's worked over.

The breaching device on this system has to be removed to change chokes. I have another design that allows the choke to be removed while the BD is still in place, but you have to keep the special made wrench nearby when you want to change chokes.

The barrels are scary accurate with slugs at 100+ yards and I can do any combination of mods/improvements to the 870, 1100, 1187 and the Benelli's....

i'm not a shotgun guy either but that looks like it will serve it's purpose great.

it's looking like you are keeping the firearms industry well covered mike. keep up the great work.

Thanks Chiller....I have the same configuration of breaching device that screws onto the mag tube and I stabbed one into a metal door frame. Sternum checks would be very interesting....

Re: Underground Skunkworks CQB Breacher

I looked on your site but couldn't find the breach bit for sale. Any chance I can order one? I was going to buy the bulky one to bring one of my barrels to a specific length but yours looks a lot lighter. What's the thread pattern?

I've neglected my site a little lately and have a lot of new content to add. Give me a call and I'll hook you up.

Thanks and I understand. I've become a firm believer in the SBS as a versatile utility firearm.

Re: Underground Skunkworks CQB Breacher

How about a straight up barrel ream and thread for chokes on a Mossberg 930 ...... Ive alredy cut the barrel back, but I would like for it to be threaded so I can change chokes for 3gun.

Very well, but I don't shoot them through a Full choke....The Improved is basically what I keep in mine unless I'm doing long shot demos....

Would prefer Benelli, since more guys run them and I could borrow ... but really it doesnt matter, Ive got to buy chokes for it anyhow. I dont plan on geting rid of this gun for a while so it really doesnt matter. Im cheap.

I can ream/thread for RemChokes for $75, but the Benelli mod will be quite a bit more....

Does the Benelli M1-S90 have to be modified or does it thread right into the choke threads? Do you have any photos and info on installation and costing?

Will it fit on either a threaded barrel (threaded for choke tubes) and a straight cylinder bore shotgun (no threading)? What is the cost and is it user installation or does one have to send the barrel in?
