I am unwilling to grant the American government the power to decide what websites I can visit and what applications I can use. I hope all of you can see why this would be a bad idea.

Yes, we need a new law, where TikTok/Bytedance must sell their company to an American, without any other change in practices, who as owner, will simply sell that exact same user information to any foreign company in China and India willing to pay for it, just like our DMV, banks, Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook, google, etc. already do today, so we can continue to get spammed by callers, that know our name, address, phone #, internet history, by scammers today.

The TikTok app has access to pretty much everything on your device, and it is likely siphoning it off and sending it back to China.
Why that want that information? Who knows? BUT, if they are that willing to add what is effectively malware to the app (certainly spyware)... everyone should be asking themselves why...

So how about when people who have the facebook app find out that right after they were talking with someone about something in person, where the phone was supposedly you know in sleep mode and the apps not running, facebook magically has advertisements right away about what they were just talking about...
Obviously the facebook app was listening to all your actual in person conversations like a full on wire tap and processing all that data back to the company.

Nope. Neither is Facebook, instagram or anything else really. That comes from within. Or some person being able to write a response that challenges one’s presupposition. And that is what is trying to be squashed.
Independent thought is the most valuable thing we have. It creates businesses, moves careers and lives, creates opportunity and can change votes. Imagine how everyone would vote if there were truth in news reporting, let alone anything else?
