The system is the punishment. So what if they win a multi million dollar judgement. They still did the time in jail and the time and expenses to go through the crooked judicial system. Probably multiple appeals to finally get justice many years down the road. No one will be punished for screwing them over and the taxpayers get to foot the bill.
I have been following the lawyer on this case, Robert Barnes, for a while. He explained how qualified immunity doesn’t always shield state actors if they do something outside the scope of their employment and I think he’s going to sue the them personally.
Pennsylvania needs this. Their department of agriculture is out of control. They’re persecuting the Amish over their food sales. Now they’re going after animal husbandry services. They need to be bitch slapped.
