It’s kind of a bummer that KAC doesn’t ship with spec sheets for us NV nerds. Mine has that typical L3 start-up whine, and tube performance was very close to the 72lp 35SNR CNVD-LR I normally use. The UNS LR A3 is a bit shorter and more forgiving to mount (in my opinion), it’s also built like a tank and has a higher recoil rating. I was able to practically use the full range of magnification on a 4-16x ATACR. Last night was about as dark as it gets where I often shoot (no moon and far from any built up areas), and it struggled a bit in those conditions without supplemental IR. I think the catadioptric lens on the CNVD-LR gives it a slight edge in that scenario, but again, across my rifles, the UNS LR A3 is more forgiving to mount due to its geometry.
