The Great Beyond
TLDR:
I am right handed.
My right eye is crap. (its not a dominance thing, its a R-Eye 20/40, Left Eye 20/20 thing). One of the main reasons I was having trouble in field matches was I could not actually spot targets. As in Left Eye "there it is" Right Eye "What you talkin bout willis!"

So as the Spartans say I was gifted with a perfectly good spare eye. Conundrum:
(1) I can shoot left handed. Yes have to retrain, but I'm not a pro, so its not a horrible option. Obviously still early in the process so its awkward, but its doable.
(2) I shoot right handed/left shoulder. Still using my right hand as primary I am easily able to shoulder the rifle on the left and use it as intended. However, I worried about screwing up my fundamentals as now the right hand is at an angle to the gun and it may throw off my press and of course grip/shoulder pressure.

Any thoughts on which is better or just stfu and get to practicing the new way?

Number one is the best way.

I am LH, and I shoot RH "weak hand" drills. My right eye is not as good, but it is not a problem. To overcome muscle memory issues with shooting with your weak hand, I did a lot of dry-firing. You will be amazed at how fast your weak hand proficiency will improve. I didn't have to change the rifle setup either.

Appreciate it. I'll go full witch/lefty.
You might not even need to switch actions. I was shooting righty rifles lefty for many years. It's actually fantastic for positions other than prone. Even when I'm on my own shooting prone without a clock it was all good.

I only recently went to lefty bolt actions when more matches started doing more longer range prone stuff... obviously on the clock. Rebuilding your position every shot sucks up time.
