A few months after banning seed oils (vegetable oil, corn oil, peanut oil, ect) from all products in our home and using *gasp* butter, lard, tallow, avocado and coconut oil products the difference in my life quality is startling. That shit is absolutely trying to kill you and your family. If you only do one thing, stop using this poison (not you specifically Joe) 😅

Animal based eating, fat forward (dirty carnivore for me) and keep additives out. Look at ingredients, can’t pronounce it or don’t know what that shit is? Don’t put it in your body.

Seems like common sense.

Cottonseed oil. It isn't even fit for human consumption AT ALL and yet they replaced palm and coconut oil, in snack foods with cottonseed oil.
I contend that the deadliest thing in a pack of Nabs(Lance snack crackers for you heathens) is now the cottonseed oil.
Remember when popcorn was popped in coconut oil? It still is at my house.
YEs i have my own heirloom popcorn seed.
You can get heirloom corn seed that is not hybrid nor modified.
It is seed renewal year for me. I have to brimg out my old seed from the deep freeze, and "renew" the line.
Good thing i bought me a tractor.

@Lawless I have a dandy indian meal corn i can send you if you are interested. About 3 years in the freezer, but it shouldcstill germinate 75% or better. Its "mountain paint" if i remeber correct. Perfect for your climate, will germinate in cooler ground temps.

The Chikn is dead on. About half the shit you buy in the grocery is full of one poison or another. White sugar is one of the worst, and its in literally everything. Cancer loves it. Every time I get weak and indulge, my arthritis lets me know. I stick to honey and maple syrup. For oils, olive for most things and coconut for frying. With any oil its best to keep the heat as low as possible.

Nothing in this world quite like a fresh from the vine heirloom tomato. Or fresh corn, leave it in the husk and throw it on a hot grill for 10 minutes, flip it for 10, and its cooked in its own juice. Beats boiling all to hell.

Dang, I can hardly wait for planting time...

This is wisdom^^^^^
The Treet is in my long term food storage. IE emergencies.
I was just making sure it was still good.

Anything that has a long shelf life, will cause you to have a short shelf life, if you make a habit of it.

So my Grandma that ate SPAM multiple times a week and lived to 90 would have lived to 150 if she didn't ? Oh and she smoked unfiltered Camel cigarettes from the age of 12.

I am working on my sugar source right now.
A good friend gave me some sugar cane cuttings last fall. I cit them proper and planted them last November. I have 4 nice sprigs about a foot tall right now along a fenceline with rich sandy soil.
Sugar cane properly processed is actually very good for you. It is LOADED with trace minerals.
I already found a source for heirloom cane breeds. I will obtain 4 more varieties in September.
I joke when i call my 6 acres "Chikn's Tea and Fruit Plantation".....but only cause it isn't complete yet.
I have lots of tea on my place too...so its really no joke, either. Yaupon is the only plant in north america that contains caffeine. And i have tons of it.
I ran the zero turn over a pile of it today.
The wife has unfortunately cut off my fruit tree buying, until i open up and clear off the back 3 acres.....women and their flowers.
I told her, if she would plan to sell cut flowers, i could maybe see puttimg in more flowers.

I was traveling years ago with Rush on the radio and he had an entire segment on using only coconut oil for popcorn. Never forgot that episode and it’s what I use when making popcorn since.

It takes doing some maffs, but here is a little known fact.
Everyone knows what king David said about the days of a man 70, 80 if you are strong in the Lord. That was simply a historical reference from the time.

Sure...sin brought death and...stuff happens, and it is written that tomorrow is not promised.

It should be entirely possible for man to live a good life to the age of 120 years.
Genesis 6:3
Even after God said this, many like Noah and his offspring lived hundreds of years.
Look into what is being learned of fasting.
Fasting is proscribed heavily in the Bible. There is more to it than obedience to God or spirituality.

Unless you control it from seed stock to table or raise it and process it/have it processed, there is little you can do.

I get the whole health lifestyle, everything will kill you, the water you drink to the air you breathe, we are slowly killing ourselves, directly or indirectly.

So my Grandma that ate SPAM multiple times a week and lived to 90 would have lived to 150 if she didn't ? Oh and she smoked unfiltered Camel cigarettes from the age of 12.
There was a guy that had a cow fall through his roof and land on him while he was sleeping, another was asleep in his bed when a sinkhole opened up below him and he was never found, a young couple and their child were traveling on the interstate during a storm. He stopped at a gas station to wait for better driving conditions and a tree fell on the car killing all of them, a friends sister was on her way home after work when a tree fell on her and killed her, a friend was a health nut and a distance runner that ran miles every day. He died at work from a heart attack at the age of 48.
It would be a shame to miss out on some tasty foods and have some tragedy befall you.

Don't get me wrong. Eating McDonald's and tasty cakes is not a good idea for a dietary lifestyle. Eating quality food is going to better in the long term but if I eat a frosted honey bun or some Krispy Kreme donuts it ain't going to kill me. Doctors kill 250,000 people a year in this country a second place to heart disease.
I was raised eating eggs, bacon, sausage and toast for breakfast and not Captain Crunch with sugar added. Lunch was usually leftovers from the night before or something else home cooked. Supper was always a meat and vegetables and some times a pasta dish with a salad and homemade bread. I've continued that into adulthood and raised my children that way.
Moderation is the key.

If I’m jealous of anything, it would be that you are driving around my old stomping grounds. I miss picking a random dirt road, and driving deep into the mountains or desert, across what would be half a state in some places. Practiced medicine in Lakeview for 10 years. Retired there, for a while, then moved to Texas. Still go back to hunt Elk near Prairie City. The guy with the big load, is standing next to his buddy’s truck, and has already loaded his own truck, the same way. He’s in his 70’s , and spent much of his life logging around NE California. Tree faller. They cut what people ask for, and in that area around Mt Lassen, they dont want lodge pole.
