Pfft. Wait till the army of cumsocks finds you.
This is definitely in the category of “if you’re gonna screw up then make people wonder, How the fuck did he do that?”
Your computer will be ready Monday. We’ve seen youve been visiting quite a few hardcore gay porn sites without any protection.
Nope. But if the players all look like that, I’m willing to learn.
Not only did they cut out the vertical web, but then they thought it'd be cool to hang everything off the top chord? Fucking genius!
This reminded me of a 100+ year old home my BIL bought in the north Catskills, NY. Ignoring the fact that the well was located 30’ downhill from the septic field, it had charm even though not insulated nor even windproof. Not only did they cut out the vertical web, but then they thought it'd be cool to hang everything off the top chord? All the time. And, he managed to fuck something up at work yesterday and conveniently called in sick today
I'd laugh harder if the whole thing was caused by HVAC. Those guys are the bane of structural integrity. I don't know what they teach them, but I do know it's not "Ask the carpenter before you hack shit out of your way." I've never had another trade do anything careless without talking to me first. It's the norm for HVAC.This reminded me of a 100+ year old home my BIL bought in the north Catskills, NY. So there was a somewhat more recent large post and beam master bedroom addition, built in good style that naturally had a couple crossbeams to tie the 36’ span together. Somebody decided that the beams were too low for…I don’t know, jumping on the bed? and they removed them.
So the roof had a big swayback that got worse each year. I sketched up how he could fix it with cable construction so that it wouldn’t fall down some winter with heavy snow. Even offered to travel there to help him fix it.
Nah.
So yes, it amazingly lasted another 10 years before they had to close off that part of the house due to a collapsed roof.
Picture something like this.

On a kitchen remodel, I was on my way out on a Friday. Leaned on the laundry side of a shared wall. Drywall still on the laundry side. Felt it move. Looked back on the kitchen side to see the HVAC guy had cut a foot off the bottom of every stud in the wall and run ductwork across the whole run. Was load bearing as well if I recall. Didn't say a word to me. There was a non destructive way to accomplish the same outcome. I chewed his ass and told my boss he was never allowed on any of our jobs again. It's far more common than it should be. Sorry, not sorry, @DamnedYankee.I'd laugh harder if the whole thing was caused by HVAC. Those guys are the bane of structural integrity. No, and besides, it's against the law to harm them regardless. They don’t have shotguns in Australia?
