Empty bullet boxes and powder jugs

I do my part by recycling wheel weights and leaving them scattered in berms and throughout the countryside.

I can only wish I burned through enough powder and store bought bullets for the packaging to impact the environment…….

Dug more lead, smelted more bullets and shot them back at the dirt i dug them out of then i can remember. We lost the lease on the range and we don’t shoot those revolvers much anymore. I was a handgun man for 50 years, but the sport I shot (IHMSA) started dying big time around 2015 and was pretty much dead and gone by 2017 the year I purchased an RPR. Found a decent ballistic program, Next time at the range that offered more than 300 yards, and between the RPR, the ballistics, I was hitting 700 and 800 yard silhouettes as much as I wanted. Next came the first MPA also in 6.5 and thousands (of $$) later, here I am, drowning in Berger boxes.

Now, those XP-100’s and single action revolvers we still own, have become safe queens.

Do you sort your bullets by weight?

Mike
Sure do, I put all my 105’s in one box and all my 109’s in another box. Or, preferably, I leave them in the box that they came in until I load them.

And what has sorting bullets by weight have to do with what to do with empty used bulelt boxes?

Buy or build a plastic shredder/grinder. Buy a filament extruder. Buy a 3D printer. Use the shredder to shred/grind the boxes and jugs. Use the filament extruder to make filament for your 3D printer. Use the 3D printer to print cartridge boxes for your ammunition…
And most importantly, get someone to do it! Sounds like a pain in the ass.

I cut the jugs up into little chips and use them in the tumbler as static media for powder coating bullets.

That should use up... one, maybe two.

Fill them with used motor oil and drop them off at the closes place that takes used oil. (that's sort of like the old wheelbarrow joke)

So you sort your bullets by weight and put them all back in the same box?

Mike

Got boxes of them. Anyone have any idea what to do with them? Recycle? Anything I could find a use for such as storing small parts has been done. They just keep piling up.

Any chance you’d have these plastic bullet holders for .223 Remington?

No, sorry just yellow boxes for 105 Hybrid’s and VLD’s and 130 grain 6.5 VLD’s, bullets only and lots of jugs one pound and 8 pound for holding Varget and Superformance. (My 6.5’s loved Superformance). I don’t purchase loaded rounds, too darned expensive. (Except .22lr which I use in the Vudoo and Brenda’s RPRR and American and 541S).
