Well, I'm not really sure what to say here. I've been to the rallies, even took (sp?) my MIL to the last one that was here about 2 weeks ago. She'd never actually seen one before, and was quite impressed. She was less than 20 feet from Pierre when he was speaking, and she couldn't believe how fired up the crowd was.

There were (some thousand) people in that standing-room-only venue, and all of the logical, realistic, and responsible things that he was saying were simply "honest and decent" both in stance and objective.

The media though, they downplay the even on the corner of the 18th page, and make comments about "how Pierre isn't 'this' or doesn't do 'that'" while they play their Crackpot on the front page, and "oh how wonderful he is, and butterflies 'n unicorns..."

So, while I personally don't know what the outcome of this latest Federal Ballot is going to be, I can actually tell you what a HELL of a lot of Canadians WANT it to be. And it's not what the media is telling the country.

But that media is being paid by the gov't at hand, to tell you what the gov't at hand want you to think.

And as some of them have discovered they have created shit holes of their leftist provinces, and they are moving here to Alberta to 'make a fresh start', but bringing their leftist values with them ....ignorant to the fact it was their leftist morals and values that made their old neighborhoods uninhabitable to begin with.

one of the bad things about our revolution was Benedict Arnold's inability to take Canada. considering our resources at the time,prob not possible. would have been a great acquisition. but,a lot of the George fans ran there when we got away from England. maybe most of them would have shipped back? French Quebec would have been the open sore it has always been but maybe 200 years could have fixed that? french Louisiana got into our act just fine. a great alt history to consider. not possible now. we need no more corrupt socialists here. we got plenty.

I fear the US will be there for our next election cycle. I firmly believe things needed to change drastically, but I am worried that it was too extreme too fast. People in general can’t handle it, and then add in what all media is spouting out. I am worried the national political pendulum is just gaining momentum and we may be swinging towards out of control.

I for one have become more cynical than I ever thought, but the last 5-6 years (especially the last 3) have proven that many of my opinions were based on BS…

It is not too late to redraw the border continuously along the 49th parrallel, instead of it dropping south as noted....that would solve most of the problems for us....western provinces anyway.
