I am looking at stocks for my first precision build and can't make up my mind so I'm wanting your thoughts, manners folder with the mini chassis or aics 2.0. I like the looks of them both but can't decide. Any advantage's to one over the other?
I tried the AICS and the thumbhole didn't fit my hand very well, I bought 3 T4 over the years and recently had the chance to try the T5, that thumbhole is perfect for me.
try a few different stocks but you can't go wrong with the T4.
personal prefernce is right. both stocks are top notch and will do what you want them to do with no problems.
So, try both, i've had a McMillan A2 and currently have an AI AE, both feel comfortable to me, but i did try out the AI before i bought one for the same reason as you.
Try both as mentioned but if you can't then the safe bet is the Manners as it has more of a "normal" rifle feel as opposed to the thumbhole stock of the AICS, which I personally don't like at all. You can't go wrong with Manners.
Thank you guys for the replys It will be a pretty tall order to looke at either one up here much less get behind one, I will prob. Go with a manners then and on my next build try an ai. I went and did a little shooting today with the AAC and i belive it actuall shot sub moa at 500yd, 5 shot group with about a 3in spread. That's off a rest though off the bipod it's pretty in consistent with that plastic stock
