I make my own.

Ground almonds (flour)
Chopped almonds
Shredded coconut
Sunflower seeds
Vanilla
Cinnamon
Just enough honey to make it stick together. Bake it on a cookie sheet.

Sometimes I will add some cocoa and or coffee. Its pretty good stuff.

Never figured on the Snickers being so well nutritionally equipped !
But if they are as good as you guys say they are , it would be a hell of a lot cheaper to keep a few small cases of these on hand compared to the " GNC " or other brand suppliments
only problem is my youngest Daughter is acutely allergic to peanuts so I will still have to find something she can tolerate

Not planning for end of the world type dealo ,, just Hurricane ,Tornados etc where power could be out for awhile and would like to have our butts covered

I'm pretty fond of clif bars. You can get them for $10/18 on Amazon. They have twice the protein of a snickers and don't melt. Plenty of nut free flavors to choose from as well.

All else aside, I know I could go way longer eating clif bars without getting sick of them than I could with any candy bar. Well maybe Paydays... Mmmmm Paydays... Drool.

I use Bear Valley Fruit and Nuts bars (different flavors) for my hunting trips and workout snacks. Small with a ton of calories (400+) and protein, etc.. If you buy them bulk directly from Bear Vally they come out to about a $1 each.

just tried clif bars last week during a match train up and match. Between those and straight up trail mix I was fine. well...I had coffee and a beer or two, but I thought the clifs worked well.

Cliff Bars are a great snack/survivalist food.

They have plenty of carbs for quick energy, enough fat to keep that long-run energy up, and just enough protein to make sure that you won't lose muscle mass/tone/muscular endurance.
