what stock do i have?

Hey guys I've been wondering which stock I have on my Remington 700 308 tactical .

Original owner said it was after market but I don't know if that's true.

I did the paint job (first time so lots of improvement to be made.)


Any ideas? Do manufacturers put there names somewhere on them? Sorry not so good picture. [img:center]http://

It does have two little things up front for where a sling would attach. One is being used to hold the bipod mount on and the other is slightly behind it.

Looks like a Bell and Carlson Light Tactical to me. They are the factory stock on the REM700 XCR long range rifles with a 26" barrel.

Thanks for the reply! I was looking into bedding and free floating but wasn't even sure if I had the hated factory stock or not.

Yep same here. Should have the bedding block unless it's been modified, So bedding isn't really required.

its a B&C light tactical. i have one on my aac sd.

Get on the rifle like you were going to shoot it and have a buddy slide a sheet of paper between the stock and barrel. Move around a little, ride high on it, like you were moving from target to target. If the paper slides freely in any position you put it in, you’re good to go.

BTW, the paint job looks really good.

Passed test with ease. And thanks for the compliment. I fixed the white areas rt after picture was taking!
