My work computer got nailed good by some virus that put a note on my screen saying "damage has been detected on your hard drive", and a box saying scan now. This laptop is(was) 7 years old, and who knows what the anti virus is that was installed. Made the mistake of clicking on the scan box, saw my shortcuts start disappearing, but couldn't turn the sucker off! I was on SH, and googled binocular cleaning after that, so just watch out, don't know where I got the virus. Had to do the emergency boot disc, wiped the hard drive.
