1972 Female Diver's Bathing Suit Malfunction

OK, this one is for the older farts here, I guess.

But reaching back to the '72 Summer Olympics, does anyone out there remember this very pretty young european diver who, when she hit the water from the high dive, the close up camera recorded the top of her bathing suit peeling down to reveal two of the finest little breasts shown in Olhympic history???

I have a vague recollection of seeing that happen. I was 15. The family used to watch as much of the olympics as we could, religiously.

This may be why, although I pretty much blow off 99% of the Olympics anymore (it's about corporate and state-sponsored android farms, propaganda and auditions for future wheaties box advertisers as much as it is about true athletes IMHO), somewhere deep down inside my inner 15 year old will watch women's high dive competitions with LASER-like focus. I don't look for it in the TV listings, but whenever it's on, I'm rooting for the home team.

Figure on another level it's somewhat like a continuation of my interest in shooting. Ballistics of falling bodies and all that.

Yeah, that's the ticket. Purely scientific interest.
