According to the JBM stability calculator they would probably be just fine with a 1-9.5" twist with only 7mm08 speeds. With a 1-9" twist it should stabilize no matter where you live or how cold it is. My friend recently called them to question why they said it needs a 1-8.5" twist and basically they just said it doesn't really need that much twist except in the most extreme circumstances(low altitude+ultra freezing temperature+short barreled 7mm08 speeds).

i've been shooting them in my 284 for a few years now with a 9 twist and they work great.
