I just picked up a holster kit from Old Faithful Holsters. I heard about them on Gun Talk Radio. They sell rather cheap (in terms of cost) for you to make your own IWB sort of 'Crossbreed' type holsters. They have different 'levels' depending on the amount of 'finishing' required. The most basic kit is around $35 plus shipping. And you can hunt around as there are a couple of discount coupons out there. You can make a holster for that rare gun that you cannot find a holster for, or just save about 50% and do a little of the work yourself. Anyways, links below and especially watch the tutorials to know what you are getting into, and examine the different levels of finish the various kits have. I'll report back here and do a review complete with pics if folks are interested.

Re: Old Faithful Holsters

I've got one for my hi-power. I can't complain about it at all! I let them mold and cut the kydex and leather. I just assembled the parts and consider it to be a great deal! No way in hell would I pay for a crossbreed when the Old Faithful is available.

Re: Old Faithful Holsters

You should consider Crossbreed Seconds also. Good deals on Crossbreed holsters. Yes, you have to send cash in the mail. Yes, real cash. But with Crossbreed's 100% satisfaction guarantee they get quite a few returns. I have used this once for a holster for my wife's P238. It came quickly and it was in perfect shape.

If it will ever get cold enough for a jacket here, I'll start carrying mine every day. I can't stand having all of that leather against me when it's above 60 degrees....

Re: Old Faithful Holsters

I just ordered a second one, with 25% off it came to less than $30 shipped! The first one I got for my HKP7. I got the kind you form the kydex yourself since they did not have a mold for the HKP7. This new one I got for my P99, so I got the one that is already molded, but you have to punch the holes yourself.

I have not built the first one yet. Still need to buy the wood to make the cut-out to mold the kydex. I also need to find a jig saw to make the cut.

Re: Old Faithful Holsters

I'll trade you a half dozen jigsaws for the P7!
