Remington has a better lug design and more aftermarket. But stock for stock I went with the Tikka because of the smooth bolt, liked the trigger better and it has a decent detachable mag.
I like them enough to own 2 Tikka T3's one in 243 the other 308. Still gathering parts for the 308.

I chose the Tikka T3 for my .260 build. Just feel wise I like it better and I've owned a 700 and a surgeon 591. I like the stock trigger and that it's easily adjustable. I also like that it comes with a decent DBM system from the factory.
I have a Tikka in 260 Rem. Love that gun. Only original parts now are the action, barrel and bolt. New stock, bolthandle, bottom metal, magazine and bolt shroud. No problem getting aftermarket support. Most of the things that I changed on my rifle were ordered from the US.
I've owned both, and would pick the Tikka all day. The action is just so much smoother and the trigger is quite nice right out of the box. Yes, there aren't as many after-market options for the Tikka, but there are enough. In addition to a few really nice chassis systems available, you can always pick up the CDI bottom metal that will allow you to use AI magazines (5-round and 10-round) in the current stock - you will have to do some inletting to do this, but a good smith will be able to do it for you if you aren't the handy type. There used to be a really nice 2-stage trigger by CG-Jackson for the Tikka that's spendy ($325-ish), but I don't think it's being made anymore. In any case, the Tikka T3 is a pretty kick-ass rifle and the action is a fantastic base to build upon.
Own both, my 700 is just frustrating. . Even after all the work I've had done to it, I think I'm just going to sell it and buy a tikka varmint to replace it. With manners, McM stocks and wiskey 3 chassis bolt in options out there the arguments against aftermarket support are less an issue than ever before.

I do not believe Beretta imports any .260s anymore. I bought a T3 lite and am having a .260 built off that.
If anyone would know it would be Euro Optics, hide sponsor, give them a shout for actual facts.
I have a couple Tikka's. One is mostly the way it came from the factory, the only Tikka part on the other is the action. It sits in an XLR chassis. I doubt I'll ever own a Remington. The Tikka's are smoother, quicker, and the factory trigger is perfect when adjusted down to 2.5 lbs.
