Our local shop has a 7-308 (on barrel), #18xx, on consignment at $1200. Beautiful wood stock, blind mag, 2 lug, claw extractor, alum. bottom metal with integral trigger guard. Two receiver screws. Two studs in forearm. Looks like pretty fast twist. Barrel is about 24", medium varmint contour. Leupold bases. Can't find out much on this on IN search. Looks like a complete Shilen build, at least barreled action. Kind of black finish. Action has 3 flats going into the stock (flat bottom?). Really nice looking rifle, wondering if anyone has some tips for me before I jump off the deep end? Thanks. Ron.

PS:Just talked to owner (in AZ). Purchased new in 1980, never used until last couple years. About 200 rounds. Said he shot 1000 yds with it. Would throw a shot out, thought it was the caliber, case config (but who knows). Price reduced to $1,000:)

Buy it. Great rifle! Is it a MS rifle? 7-08 was the ultimate MS round in 1980.

I think a DGA rifle cost more than $1000 in 1980.

I have read, and he said, that 7-08 was developed for silouette around 1980's, but the stock doesn't appear to be configed that way?? Maybe you mean something else, like MS=military sniper or ??. Ron

Purchased the rifle today. Got a Farrell 20 degree rail, and 5 boxes of reloads with it. Will post some results/photos when I get it scoped and range fired. Thanks for your encouragement. Ron.
