Hey so what im looking for is a takedown rifle, I would like at least a 20 inch barrel. A rifle i can keep in a bug out bag and have it not noticable from the outside.

I have been looking at the nemesis arms vanquish, but the price is some what concerning does anyone have any hands on time with this rifle?
What kind of barrel life does the 6.5 creedmoor have on it. Can it maintain 1 moa with match grade ammo.
Or if anyone has any better solutions.

Probably not what exactly what you're looking for but definitely the most economical way to make a breakdown rifle...

Get an AK folder or an FN FS 2000.. Bug out rifle? What "criteria"? Should be a high capacity semi on a sling, on your chest. Hiding it makes access slow.Having it "front and center" will deter most "threats". What are you thinking? If you're "running", during a "high threat" environment, you want your hand on the grip, or close,at all times. If you're talking about what I think you're talking about: There's no "sneaking away". Just moving around makes you a target. Back packs? group of people? TARGET!

If the biggest consideration is that you want something that breaks down very small, then it's hard to beat the Nemesis one, and yes it is expensive at about $4500 but there are not very many rifles that can fit into a 15" laptop case (or 17" laptop case if you want the 20" barrel). The downside is that putting it together takes a bit of time. (Probably 1 to 2 minutes depending on your practice level and how it is stowed)
It will easily do better than MOA & you can get several different barrels to change caliber just about as easily as unscrewing the barrel with your hands.
While you can do positional shooting with it, you'll find it's mostly designed for bipod shooting.

I have the Ruger 10/22 TD. I had the muzzle threaded and the front sight set back. The scoped receiver, .22 suppressor, threaded Buckmark pistol and pleanty of mags and ammo for both fit in the inconspicuous bag. Both rifle and pistol are plenty accurate. A good assortment of standard and hyper velocity ammo covers the bases for any task that comes up. Total package is about the size of 2 loaves of regular sized bread - end to end.

DO NOT BUY A Nemesis Vanquish...here is why

And if anyone would like to know about my comment on the vanquish... here goes...
--quantity of 3 mags at $75 ea. Won't feed period
--bullet in .308 would not chamber, stuck out of the barrel 3/4" with barrel removed. Bolt stuck back 3/4" because the bullet wouldn't go forward.
--sent to Dave at Nemesis and he not only put savage parts on my bolt he sanded down the receiver (where it screws on-and it's 50 thousandths out from one side to the other) after cutting the barrel to short. Thanks Dave, now my gun won't be able to accept any other barrels you sell, but you would know that if you could reply to some of my e-mails.
--obviously not a machinists because there are so many "chatter" marks in my barrel that every time I put a piece of lapua brass in it and shoot, since it finally will shoot, it carves the brass up so bad with cut marks that I have to fight the bolt to get the damn thing to eject.
--it shoots about 1.5 MOA and that is impressive considering the shape it is in. My desert tactical SRS shoots a consistent .217 with the 175 bergers/44gr varget/210gm/lap brass/col 2.892
--BTW, SSGTactical in Virginia wouldn't give me a refund either. They also gave me the cold shoulder. I guess they thought that was ok since I don't live close enough to actually talk to them face to face. Doug tells me that every Nemesis they got was shit, and Dave at Nemesis said it was because Doug swapped barrels on the guns he sent him? Aren't they supposed to be able to do that not that I think He did?

Anyway, my SRS is the larger model, but if you want a smaller model get the DTA srs covert (27" I think), laser beam.

OP, you're new here so I'll take it easy on you but this isn't a prepper forum. When I read bug out bag, I know you're looking for some Bourne Identity shit where you can run into a meadow, assemble it in seconds, engage bad guys who are trying to burgle your food stuffs from miles away and exfil in time to report in to your minions via ham radio.

The hard truth is, you want a legit takedown rifle, pony up and buy an AX Covert. Nemesis have had serious QC issues. However, you can get into an extremely small package in a variety of ways. Manners folders, KRG, AICS2.0, XLR, hell most chassis systems(do a search) have folding options. DTA make a nice bullpup bolt gun which is also very compact with a full length barrel but in the $4500 range you scoffed at earlier. If you really need to "bug out" forget the 20" barrel because velocity will be negligible in the situation I'm envisioning you thinking you'll need it, get a 16.5 or 18, get a suppressor, buy a GDI QD scope mount(or don't) and call it a day. You're really trying to have your cake and eat it too all at what I assume is an impossible price point(if $4500 is a lot to you)

Takedowns are for Hollywood, not the backwoods. A 28-30" rig is as good as you're gonna do reliably.

Yea, the Covert would be hard to beat for real world use.

If I was looking at a "bug out" rifle that needed to pack down, and the action I chose did not have a quick attach barrel... I'd either look at a bolt gun with a pinned 14-14.5" barrel and suppressor mount, or more likely probably a SCAR and skip the bolt action all together.

Money being no object, McMillian has their SBR, the C5 or something. You could probably make something similar with a tube gun chassis. You could find a tube gun chassis with removable or folding stock, and a 14-16" barrel and call it good. Although, at this point the bullpup DTS makes more sense I'm fairly sure.
