Since the supplies at ALL my powder vendors are severely lacking, I am exploring the option to try out the Viht N140 for my AR10 gas gun .308 shooter. Krieger 22" 1-11 twist SS Heavy barrel. We have been using the R15 and Varget powders with great results. Does anyone see any reason as to why N140 or possibly N150 wouldnt do a great job as well? My local vendors actually have it in stock. By the way, I shoot 178g Hornady AMAX, 175 SMK and will be giving the 185g Lapua Scenar a try. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

N-140 will get the job done and done well. Good to go. Get a pound and give it a go. N540 good as well, especially for 308 applications where some extra speed is required.
45.0 N150 has been a great performer for me in an AR10 1/11 Krieger for 175's at mag length and 185's at 2.950. Will probably work better than N140 for what your looking to do.
Someday I'd like to try VV for my .308 gas gun loads.
