The groundhogs are in full swing where I usually go (Mercer County), but the 45min drive is getting old. Is anybody interested in shooting some woodchucks in the pittsburgh / robinson / washington / burgettstown area? Its one of the most enjoyable things I do, but I only have access to the farms up north. If anyone has a place to go Id be more than happy to meet up.

I just got one at 400 yards yesterday at my uncles farm. I believe we have taken about 20 off his farm this year. But im a little south of you in Somerset.

Im seeing woodchucks out around my house. Its time to fucking murder. Anybody have access to some pasture or fields in the greater pittsburgh area?

How about the stat game lands off of rt 18. Take rt.22 East until you get to the amphitheater and just past that is the state game lands. just a thought. used to hunt all kinds of stuff out there. You'll definitely are going to need four wheel drive. MIKE.....

i am also looking for a good hog spot, i am hoping to smash one with the 300wm this year. the places i used to hunt them are mostly cleaned out with just a few here and there. i am from the butler area and willing to drive. anyone willing to let me tag along sometime please let me know, it would be greatly appreciated.

Ive been hammering them pretty good up in Mercer already. I just hate that drive. Im almost certain that woodchucks are off limits in all PA game lands. Somebody has to know some farmers looking to get rid of them. Ill keep the post updated on what I find. You guys do the same.

PS: I smoked one with my 300winmag and a 208 Amax at 150yds. Split the chuck right in half.
