I have been doing some more searches on DA and talking to some competitors this weekend and want a new wind meter.
I have the Kestrel 2500 but want one that does DA too. Someone told me the Kestrels have to constantly be calibrated
for correct DA. Is this true and if so, is there a better option?
Thanks
Sean

I have a 4500nv and I take the batteries out whenever I'm not shooting. You recalibrate it when you put in the batteries (learn the altitude at your home and do it before you leave). I live in mountainous and desert terrain. I never have a problem with bad readings. I calibrate it before I leave, then leave the batteries in. I have tested the readings with calibrating at home and at my shooting site (which have different altitudes) and they are basically the same.
