We're happy to announce three new suppressors, the 30PS, 30BAS, and the 30PSS. These are the "short" models that we showed off at the 2013 SHOT Show. These cans are available for ordering now and are in the regular production schedule (which is presently 6-10 weeks behind depending on model). Many dealers already have some of these on order.

Here's the rundown on specs and applications:

30PS- The seven inch "Short" version of our flagship 30P-1 suppressor. It is two inches shorter and 2.5 ounces lighter than the 30P-1. It only gives up approximately 2-3 dB suppression for a noticeably smaller and lighter format. The construction and materials are the same as the 30P-1. 30BAS- The seven-inch "Short" version of our brake-attach 30BA suppressor. It is two inches shorter and three ounces lighter than the 30BA. It only gives up approximately 2-3 dB suppression for a noticeably smaller and lighter format. The 30BAS is designed to mount over our muzzle brake. The 30PS and 30BAS are well suited to all the same cartridges and applications as the 30P-1 and 30BA, but give the user a lighter and more compact format in trade for just a few dB of suppression. The 30BAS mounts to the exact same mounts as the 30BA suppressor.

30PSS- The model 30PSS is an extremely compact moderator intended primarily for for subsonic .30 caliber loads. It is also a good choice when the most important priority is adding the absolute minimum length and weight to the rifle while still significantly moderating the muzzle report. Compared to our flagship 30P-1, it is about half the weight (9.9 oz), four inches shorter, and approximately 10 dB louder when using full power .308 ammunition. The 30PSS is perfect for a dedicated .300 Blackout or .300 Whisper upper for shooting subsonic ammunition when minimum size is a strong requirement.

This is likely the only time I'll ever be envious of something less than 10 inches in length. Great looking products Zak!! I'm anxiously awaiting the tax stamp for my TBAC 30P-1.

Louder. We found it acceptable for use with sub loads in an AR-15 SBR. It's on the small/light extreme end of the spectrum.

The 30PS & 30BAS give up "just a little bit" of suppression for their smaller size and weight. The 30PSS takes it to the extreme for when you want it really short.

Here's an 8.2" Noveske .300 BLK barrel:

Imagine only adding 4 3/8" to the overall length with the 30PSS.

Yes, should be fine. Keep in mind supersonic loads will not be super quiet with the 30PSS. Using .308 match loads the 30PSS is approx 10 dB louder than a 30P-1. It is really designed for subsonic .300 blackout/whisper. If that suppression level is OK, it will be a very compact can on your 6.8

Has anyone besides me contemplated the pss as an alternative to running a brake on say a creedmoor match rifle? I guess if I was an unlucky sob that still pays tax stamps maybe I would think differently. I was all about the PS to replace my P1 for match use, just not sure it's a big enough difference to warrant the change. For some reason before the release I thought the PS was going to be a much bigger difference in weight from the P1. I'm already wearing hearing protection anyway, that 4.5" and ultra lightweight just sounds sexy for a match gun...

Zak,

At Shot 2013, I asked about a 300BLK suppressor and you mentioned something was on the way. Looks like this is it. What would be your suggestion (PS or PSS) for a hearing safe in 300BLK supersonic yet uber-quiet 300BLK sub-sonic on an 8" AR upper? I can always mount my 30P1 but would like a shorter can.

Thanks for the great products!

How well do these stay tight on an AR? Im specifically interested in the PSS for my sbr 300blk but the muzzle is inside the handguard so I cant use the ole teflon tape trick. Ive been using my yhm ti qd with the spring load tension ring so its worked well but I'd like to shorten up the package and really only worried about subsonic suppression performance. Any db testing? Id like to know how it stacks up to my current can before I drop a grand on a dedicated can for a single gun.

Zak, can your BA muzzle devices be permanently attached to make a 16" AR barrel? Or would they even be long enough...

Thinking hard on a 30BAS as my multi-host AR can, but I have several non SBR uppers with 14.5 barrels.

Thanks, and btw everyone wants a TBAC can after seeing/hearing my 30P-1!

Zak,
Would it be safe to shoot the 30 BAS on an .308 with an 18" barrel w/o hearing protection and would it also be safe on a 7wsm w/o hearing protection. I'd love to get one can for both rifles and have them both be "hearing safe". Thanks for the info!

No supersonic load is "hearing safe" even through a can. Will it "feel" better on the ears? Yes but it is still doing damage. Ear protection is still recommended even with a can.

Zak, could you please post the actual dimensions of the PSS? I believe the diameter is the same as my 30p-1 but wanted to confirm the length. Thanks
