'Skers got an easy schedule this year, and a senior QB ready to make a statement
Hopefully the D shows up
+1 on this. D line, LB and special teams needs to pick it up from last year.
I'm just patiently waiting, like in that movie "devils advocate" don't let em see you coming! Roll tide!I guess I'll be the first to say it:
Roll Tide Roll!!!
I guess I'll be the first to say it:
Roll Tide Roll!!!
Counting the days down. I wonder what impact this new tackling rule will or could have.
BSU had its glory days and its doubtful any team will match their 4 year run record but they will never be what they were over those 4 years. The time was lacking but I wish someone would have taken their offer to prove the point one way of the other.
We will never know but they beat everyone they were told they could not. If the SEC is so powerful and full of whoopin, why didn't UGA at home in the state of GA against a supposedly inferior team from a poor conference run the score up by gashing large chucks of green up the middle, burn DBs for easy scores, D come crashing in for multiple sacks and tackles for loses. Its was one game but again, why didn't a top SEC team at home knock the smack out of an inferior team to prove the point the SEC is almighty?
Every team that played BSU, players and coaches said, they were bigger, stronger, faster than we thought that excelled at the fundamentals of football; blocking and tackling and their coaching had a great game plan that made adjustments, we did not give them the respect they deserve. The coach said, they smacked us as hard and any other conference has including the SEC.
BSU is not my team, I have no team other than who is playing Ohio St, Bama and USC. But, the football world gave little respect to BSU on how good they actually were at the time and whom they beat. Only the players and coaches knew after the game. Fans do not play the game.
In the SEC, of course LSU and Bama but the rest are just good teams that would play well in any conference just like the top half teams in any conference would play well in the SEC. If the SEC is so big and bad, then why do they loose many games outside the conference to include bowl games?
Less than a month away!
SEC......you didn't mention the Aggies. Who beat bama last year and will be one of the biggest games of the year on week 3 playing in Kyle Field against bama.
Farmers Fight!
I am not a BSU supporter so they are not my team, I am a fan of college football all Div and as a fan recoginize it for what it is and what programs accomplish, not blow a horn blindly. BSU came from a poor program and grew into a very talented program that beat all the top schools they said they could not. TCU is another. N Dakota looks to be the next program 9 - 3 record against D1 programs over the last 5 seasons. If you cannot fathom success from programs like these then you are no true fan to the sport. Fans and boosters did not play in the game, only the players and coaches were on the field and every team still said BSU brought more than they thought in talent and coaching and did not respect them and lost. Last year they loss over half their team and played on the field with a very young team that has to grow. Teams like these black mark is their division but they play who they play, its not their fault that most teams will not play them but there a few, Bama did except = BSU wins the the looser cannot recover, win and it was against an inferior team.
How did the almighty SEC best conference in D1 fair in last years bowl games? Look back at their record over the last 10 years and see just how well they did Vs the other conferences? SEC talk about their conference as a whole top to bottom the best. This year the SEC plays 19 games against sub conferences, not too much bragging there. SEC fans talk about their conference until facts come out then revert to LSU and BAMA..not the most stellar record in bowls.
BSU bowl record, its a fact and they grew into...what was their bowl record over the last 5 years compared to Bama, SEC.
When Bama/SEC lose, they were tired, did not get up for the game, a whole host of excuses and if they are the best team / conference then they should never lose especially to inferior teams not in the SEC but....
2008 Poinsetia Bowl | TCU 17 | Boise State 16 (BSU Lost to TCWho?) |
2009 Fiesta Bowl | Boise State 17 | TCU 10 (barely won to a mediocre opponent) |
2010 Las Vegas Bowl | Boise State 26 | Utah 3 (won against a weak conference opponent) |
2011 Las Vegas Bowl | Boise State 56 | Arizona State 24 (finally a big win!) |
2012 Las Vegas Bowl | Boise State 28 | Washington 26 (Hey look, another big win!) |
2008 Independence Bowl | Alabama 30 | Colorado 24 |
2009 Sugar Bowl | Utah 31 | Alabama 17 |
2010 BCS National Championship | Alabama 31 | Texas 21 |
2011 BCS National Championship | Alabama 21 | LSU 0 |
The smart money is on Penn State for the NC. All you haters better recognize!
No one mentioned the Faggies because no one cares. Again, here's an example of luck playing a role. Ten times A&M and Bama plays and Bama wins 9 out of 10. "Johnny Football" should be called "Johnny Fuck-up" because he's followed by more controversy than Kim Kardashian. And actually, it may be one of the "biggest games" to A&M but to Bama you will be another stepping stone on the way to ANOTHER national championship. Texas A&M has always been the bastard child in Texas and will continue to be so in the SEC. If I were you I would be careful putting your dick out there about beating Bama when it got stomped by LSU and Florida.
Of course opening up your tough schedule with Rice and Sam Houston State A&M should be ready to play Bama after those two scrimmages.
I would have to disagree and say it's quite the opposite. Bama is obsessed with aTm right now! Read about all the stuff they are doing to prepare for aTm. It's as if they do not care about anyone else.
Pfft, They are far from obsessed. Preparing, yes. Obsessed? No. Besides, it appears Ol' Johnny Fuck-Up may not even play.
On anther note: Yes looks like Johnny Football is History. So lame that a grown man can't break the rules and cheat to get an income.
There, I fixed it for you.
....about someone you say your "not obsessed with" but clearly your team is planning for and should be. if i was a Bama fan, and my team wasnt planning to try and beat the team who beat us at home the previous year, i would seriously question my coaching staff and players preparation.
There, I fixed it for you.
Are you serious cartman, alabama has been at the top of recruiting for the last five years. They will continue to do so, so you think we're worried about someone or one team, give me a break. Yes you can bet alabama has tam circled on their schedule and should. You don't understand the process saban preaches here. It's about focusing on the now and not looking ahead. I will have to say he's done it as well as anybody. I know saban and he's the most focused person I've ever met. He's looking at getting better now , not looking weeks down the road. By the way , Johnny football is one hell of avplayer and I hope he gets his act straight and plays. I want to play against their best, so we can say we beat or lost to their best. Believe me when I say alabama respects all opponents but not scared or obsessed with anyone. We may not win em all but well be in the hunt.
Don't blame me. I was not the one that put those A&M logos in the Bama Weight Room. I have never heard of Bama putting another team's logo in their weight room ever. I would have to conclude Bama is obsessed with aTm. Too bad Manziel is out, will not be the same when Bama beats aTm this year.
Brook Shield's was allowed to Model for Millions why she attended Princeton.
Just sayin! Again, rules are rules, and the Slave Holders get to make the rules.
Dude, Manziel is not out. No one has said he is out because there have been no infractions levied by the NCAA. It's only wishful Bama fans who say he is "out". i think its because they see him as the biggest threat to their season this year, and they should.
but on the other hand, people forget that the A&M defense picked McCarron twice in that game and forced a fumble. This year, many have said A&M has the best running back corps (as a complete depth chart unit) in the SEC, and arguably in the nation. with or without manziel, Alabama will have to play near flawless in College Station. as far as i can tell, Alabama has only played once in Kyle Field and got a win in 1988. its going to be a good game.
