Does anyone have any experience with the new lyman digital powder measures?

I currently have a DPS 3 and it irritates me to no end! It starts drifting after 20 or 30 rounds, consistently over or underthrows by 0.2 - 0.4 grains. It is driving me crazy.

So I have been looking at the RCBS charge master, but mow these mew products from lyman shows up to muddy the waters. They claim that the new dps systems have improved shielding to negate any electromagnetic interference and that the drift issue has also been sorted?

I can't seem to find any good reviews online for these two systems?

I have the DPS 3 and experience the drifting of .1 to .2 of a grain constantly. Right now I typically type in .1 of a grain under desired charge and then double check the charge in another digital scale.

I was considering getting a RCBS chargemaster...but at the price point of the new Lymans it will be hard to resist....as long as they actually did resolve the issues.

I have a Lyman Gen 5, I like it so far. I've loaded up about 500 rds of 9mm and 400 of .223 so far with it. I had the scale drift once but did what the directions suggests to wipe it down with Windex and the drift stopped. I use the insert that comes with it for Varget and it usually stops at .1 under, I'll typically tap the tube instead of hitting the trickle button. Which a grain or two of power usually all I need to get it even. With BL-C(2) and bluedot I'll sometimes get .2 or .3 over. I haven't gone back and tried it with the insert. Without it the flow is very fast and usually what causes it to go over. May just need to try it with the re-stricter insert.

It only takes 3 minutes to calibrate which is nice.
I love it for its ease of cleaning. After you pour the powder out the back shoot. You just remove the tube and the entire pan ejects out the back. So its super easy to get every single grain of powder out of it when done.

From what I can tell the most important way to get consistent charges is as it states, no wind or fan air movement and a solid stable desk or surface. It kind sucks having to close my window but I do notice when a breeze hits it, the scale fluctuates alot. So I just get in a habit to close it when measuring.

Ok here we go charged 400 rounds of 7 mm mag with varget threw perfect charge every throw randomly check charges with my beam scale . Charged 300 rounds of 7 mm 08 with h380 had one charge that went .1 over. I did use the adaptor that came with it to slow down the powder. In my opinion this scale is great did exactley what it is suspost to do it does not take up to much space easy to use and clean up.
