Im just curious about what you guys think about tipping a 6.5 130 berger hunting bullet. Ive been reading a good deal about it and most people say unless your shooting 1000 its not really worth it. So I ran some numbers on the berger ballistics software using the BC increase based on what cooper creek says which is G1 of .600 and at 600 yards there is a decent amount of performance gain. The drop and wind-age wasn't hardly much at all but the gain in FPS and energy was right around 40 each . So that would equal about 50-60 fps at the muzzle to achieve the same numbers at that yardage with out tipping. For me shooting a 20 inch 6.5 x 47 seems to me like it is worth it. Oh yea Im not match shooting just steel plinking and hog/ deer hunting 800 yds max.
