Hunting & Fishing Colorado Elk / Mule Deer hunt.

The Elk did not cooperate much but we did well on the deer. After shooting a mid sized one myself on Monday at 656 yards I took my buddy to my spot Wednesday who has zero long range experience. I spotted this guy through my Vortex HD spotter and he sent a 180 Berger Hunting VLD at 2965 MV from my custom built 7SAUM. 587 yards DRT. We have not scored him yet but he has 15 score able points 8 x 7.

great shot and nice buck...... do those vld cause a lot of damage, lets say if your trying to conserve meat, im tempted to try them out this season
