If you haven't already, check out JGS Tools for your reamers and gauges. And anything else they have that you need.

They're by far the best company Ive dealt with for reamers, both carbide and HSS, and guauges. When you call they know what they're talking about, even the receptionists. And when you place an order they get it right.

Their Carbide reamers can take the same pilots are their HSS so they're interchangeable. A big plus for me over some of their competitors. Seems like we're switching over to almost all carbide reamers.

Their reamers kick ass and they've never screwed anything up. Spend the extra money They're worth it.

Most of my reamers are from JGS. Top notch tools and worth the little extra money. I met them in 2009 at Shot Show in Orlando Fl. Plus like Keith said, they all know what they're talking about, plus great customer service.

I've started the switch-over as well for more than just the fact that their products are absolutely top quality.

The final straw for me was learning from a guy at a match that he had ordered up a copy of a reamer that I requested to be marked "Proprietary" and it was handed over no problem. I confirmed with the supplier the following week that it was indeed "proprietary". My orders go to JGS now.

Some PTG pilots fit some JGS reamers. Their standard live pilots are the same size.

There are some complications with sharing carbide reamer pilots. At least the ones Ive bought from both companies.

The pilots with coolant slots I dont like at all. Wont use em. Depending the the number of lands/grooves, Ive seen the lands ride in the slots. Cant be good.

And regardless of the manufacturer, carbide kicks ass. I run them at 50% higher RPM than HSS. The shoulders look so smooth its amazing. The chamber walls come out so smooth we hit them with 320 not to polish it, but to roughen it up so the brass sticks just a bit like its supposed to. Slowly switching over to all carbide. Not cheap though. A carbide reamer and gauge set from JGS is often over $300... Multiplied times 20-30 chamberings. And wanting multiple reamers of the same chambering with different throat lengths because we're not a fan of throating reamers.
Probably going to have $10,000 in reamers next year and thats just the popular chamberings.

PTG viper venom is all we use now for fluid. We were using moly-d. Moly-d is messy, expensive as hell, and doesnt work any better than the viper venom. In fact the vipers venom prolly works better. And its cheap.

Shush. They are plenty busy without outing them here. They have been our secret weapon since we started. I will say they are more expensive but worth it and that's not just my opinion. I can show and demonstrate why. They use an uneven spaced flute design to combat chattering where the other brands seem to be evenly spaced and a lot more prone to chattering. Without looking we can feel and see the difference when cutting a chamber. It's also handy they are 20 minutes away and deliver.

A few questions.
Did you guys ever get a high pressure flush system going?
I've been advised against carbide reamers due to the risk of chipping or breaking. Has this been much of an issue yet?
