I have a Remington AAC-SD that I just purchased a Manners T6A w/ mini chassis for. The bolt will not close all the way becasue the sock is not properly inletted for the bolt that came with the gun. The bolt handle is slightly swept back but the slot in the stock goes strait down. After 20 degrees or so of rotation, the backside of the handle hits the stock.

I called Manners & they said that I could send the stock & barreled action to them and that they will inlet the stock. Would I be better off just getting the bolt handle replaced & the bolt trued up while the handle is being replaced? How much does this kind of work cost and is there anyone in western PA that does good work for a fair price. I would rather not deal with the hastle of mailing a gun.

Where in western PA are you located? the western side can mean a couple hours drive. I have a smith 10min away from me in Farrell, Pa that has done some work for me and everyone around me goes to him. He's retired, prices are fair and work is good.
