Range Report Black Hills 168 SMK - 600 yard F class

Long story short:

I'm trying to conserve my stash of 175 SMK and Varget for my son the rest of the season. I want to shoot a 600 yard F class this weekend with him. I've got just enough Black Hills 168 SMK box ammo to shoot a match (+sighters). They have been very accurate in my rifle out 400-500 yards. I've just always shot the 175's for longer range.

Wanted to hear feedback on people that might have used them in for 600 yard matches?

They'll do 600 easy. I shot plenty of them out of the rifle you see to the left. That's NOT F class though. 10 & X ring no problem. Isn't the F class target like twice the normal size...? Good luck and good shooting!

You were right. They were more accurate than me. I had one string that was never lower than 9 and was all 9's/10's and some X's. They chrono'd 2630 out of my 24" barrel.

Actually I'm going to toss my Win brass that's getting old and use this for the next match.

Before the 175 SMKs were born, I was shooting 168 gr. FGMM at 1000 with very satisfactory results. Before I had internet, the bullets didn't know they weren't supposed to be accurate that far. But, accurate enough they were, keyholing and all! This was out of a 1:12 twist. 600 should be a breeze for 168s, dependent on your twist.
