I have one on my rifle. Dont have any NV gear. Yet. But it was on the used stock i bought to put the used barreled action i bought in. I certainly wouldnt pay hundreds extra for it, but it was worth a little extra in case the opportunity ever presents itself for me to use a friends or me to pick one up.
Should i take the seal team 6 efr team sticker off my race car?

Clip on NV is fine, but it doesn't really come close to how nice it can be when you have a dedicated high end NV scope on the rifle, or a decent dedicated Thermal scope.
However if you don't exactly have a Day setup & a Night setup, then the clip on can be fine.

I had a bit of fun doing clip on PVS 14 behind the back of a S&B 5-25 scope, it's kind of interesting that way, just the focusing is a bit more tedious.

Brother, I had a bit of fun with my responses simply because you were the OP and some of the responses were WAY too serious. I knew that you weren't trolling and were asking a legit question. As soon as the "because everyone is a mall ninja" answers came in as expected I was more than willing to acknowledge that I did it for looks and maybe for future utility.

As kengel2 said, most of us have these toys for the fun of them. I've killed a ton of shit with guns that would never feature on this forum, and conversely will likely never kill anything with my high end rifles. I was joking with a buddy the other day while we were fishing on a 25 degree pond: I had live bait out on a Zebco while I was casting with an expensive baitcaster. I had to set down my expensive reel because I was catching fish too quickly with the Zebco.

I have shit that works, like the Glock I've been in a gunfight with, and shit that looks good like the collection of 1911's I'll never shoot in anger. My money, my choices, my happiness.

No worries bud! It's all good and I was just truly curious. I have clip ons fortunately and knowing how much of an investment it is to do it had me wondering if people really did it for intended use. Carry on

I also was squadded last year at LRSE with Bryan Morgan. He was running one on his Manners with those Noveske barricade claws on both side rails. Makes for a good forward barricade stop.

Space Shuttle Door Gunners. Just my opinion, they can do with their equipment what they want and can afford. If I put something extra to lug around on my rifle it had better have a function it actually fulfills; had enough 'just in case items' to lug around in the military because some pencil pusher in a five sided building could dream up all kinds of (un)real uses for them.

I use them for matches. I can strap a gamechanger tight on the efr and that helps in a couple ways. It's a way to minimize movement and it helps me not lose the bag if there's a possibility of it falling forward and ditching it altogether. For positional shooting, driving the rifle with my non firing hand and keeping light shoulder pressure with my srrong side has helped dramatically. I truly believe I gain somewhere around 3-5 points per match compared to no efr. I won't shoot a match without an efr. For me it is an extremely valuable tool.

So what kind or model NV works on the EFR?
Does the NV need to be almost touching the scope bell to function properly?
