It was in the plans for a while and I pulled the trigger, cheesy pun, on it early last year. Here's the trip in pictures:

Just for reference, this is how a standard ejection port would handle a .50

Nice. I feel like that might be closer to volume = 13.

Yea, not sure about the OP's gun (probably louder) but after touching mine off at a local indoor range I had to have a 20 min talk with three range masters about the difference between 50 BMG and 50 Beowulf. I warned everyone but three women still jumped out of their skin. I take it just for the attention sometimes.

I got rid of it in the panic but had a MiniDraco SBR, which is a 7.5" x39 AK. And it had a brake. It would clear the firing line at an outdoor range. Can't imagine indoors, or that the .50 sounds like. It might be a "pistol round", but that is an amazing fireball. I don't think the MiniDraco fireballed that well.

    Just ranting..

I got kicked out of Ben Avery shooting range because those dumbasses couldn't understand the difference between 50BMG and my 375CT. I said, well if someone showed up here with a elephant gun would you kick them out? Uh no of course you wouldn't. Then they said I might ricochet a bullet over the mountain, so I said anybody here could do the same and besides I was shooting into the dirt berm at targets trying to work up a load, not at the mountain which is against the rules. Idiots, 5 hour round trip waisted...

    Range Nazies

    Cool SBR you have!!!

Yea, I hate it when the range masters barely know the difference between rim fire and center fire. In my case I brought up the 500 S&W and the thought of a 50 cal revolver messed with their brains. The Beowulf is very similar to the 500 S&W ballisticly. 500S&W is a lot higher pressure but they are in the same ball park for comparison, they did not grasp that.

LOL, great point! No grasp for the obvious!
