You're supposed to hold off on results till Sunday you illiterate camel jockey. I just signed in to find the a23 pdf mclaine posted.

hey thanks man, you as well.

pretty sure the reason i shot so well was because i was antsy to wrap up shooting for the day and hit the strip club....so i just cranked through them and got all my shots off before conditions could change

ProTip: apparently strippers dont appreciate being tipped in NRA reward points....."as good as money" my ass.

you shoot lights, out, try to rip off strippers and know Monthy Python. We should be together (in like a totally bro, and not homo way).

Marlin 25A. It stays clean and sighted for mini-mags, so some adjustment was needed to get on target for this ammo. It would have been much easier to shoot a half dozen 5 shot groups and picked a couple to show the class. :-D

3/4 tn rest w/ front/rear bags. 54 yrds. Federal high velocity ammo.

Thought it was a little left so gave it one click right for this one. Same ammo. It was getting hard to see by the end.

Subsonic this morning. RWS HP Field. No sighters. Changing rimfire ammo with different coating usually takes a good bit of ammo before it tightens up, but I suspect this never would have shot worth a damn.

If I can post these groups (patterns?), then no one should be bashful.

These are good.

My thinking behind this was it sets the bar at a pretty manageable level everyone can meet.

Should not every human, even mouth breathers, at least have a Ruger 10-22 somewhere in their house they can shoot this with?

A23 target is good size for irons and it will work with scopes. That link above is where I download mine from. They print good on 8.5X11.

If you want to compare apples to apples than - .22 caliber, 50 yards, A23.

Post a picture of your rifle, box of ammo, target.

Seeing all the other targets is good too. I like seeing shooting pictures. Just can't compare across postings if you are at 100 and the other guy is at 50.

Understand though that ability doesn't mean knowledge nor does having good knowledge translate into having ability. Some knowledgeable people may not be physically capable and just because they can't doesn't mean they don't know.

Prefer this not become a shit on the shooter thread, give it your best and that is all.

The fact you have the balls to publicly post I think gives you a little bit of street cred to be in here shooting your mouth off.

Looking forward to getting off work tomorrow and shooting this. An overtime will cancel me. Street cred isn't worth that kind of money.

Ps - Why I thought 25 all in one target rather than 5X5......

25 in one target gives a bigger data set to indicate what the rifle, ammo and shooter are capable of while spreading variables out across the entire set.

5X5 each group becomes an individual subset and the variables have more effect on each set.

Throwing a 6 in the midst of a 5X5 sucks. Throwing one 6 out of 25 shots who cares....

There should be a defined cone of accuracy at the end of it as evidenced by a center ragged hole. That hole in my mind represents what rifle, ammo and shooter should do with all variables removed.

Im thinking that instead of asking what's the best ammo to use, its better to ask what should I expect of my rifle and ammo.

If I can't get to what is expected that's where I fail.

The rig is a savage Fv-sr in a Boyd stock with terry cross loggerhead adjustable added. Vortex pst 4-16 thunderbeast can. Until today hadn't liked most of what I fed it was about to give up on the rifle. Elay match seems ok. Range in the back yard is 55yrds. Called the high flyer as my ten year old came screaming out on the deck. Not sure what happened on the other. Will be trying more of the elay match though!

I'd love a 22 trainer. Something to ponder...

APOG, I recommend buying boxers because thongs just make you sour and cranky...

but you are correct in expecting the peanut gallery to post here otherwise they would be guilty of just shooting their mouths off.

Ammo. CMP surplus Remington "SV". Its not high velocity nor is it low velocity, its "Standard Velocity". $115/5000. I wish I had of remortgaged and bought more....

Rifle. Springfield M2. Barrel date November 1935. Sports a 20X Unertl I bought off a member of the Hide in the classifieds. Thanks Doc!

So, I don't currently have a .22 set up, but I was out yesterday finishing some load development for my .260. Thinking that I wanted to do this, I grabbed a couple boxes of untried factory (well, Dallas Reloading stuff I bought a year or so ago) and printed up a target.

Knowing that I already was outside the realm on this, I felt that 50 yards wouldn't be right, so arbitrarily decided that the 200 meter target board would work. I didn't shoot a practice target, just this one.

Not it being an F-Class or group shooter, I shot this prone using a rear bag and bipod.

I shot this all without checking and found out that I suck

I'd have loved the comments if you hadn't stated you were shooting .260. Heck, I got accused of shooting a 410 #2.
